Been around a long time. Heard a lot of great female singers. Aretha is the goddess. But this Aussie girl, Vanessa, is something else. Jaw-droppingly superb. If I was a woman and I could sing like that I would feel like the Queen of the World. I've been hearing her now for 16 years and its just so wrong that she is not an international superstar. If Adele was in the same studio, I reckon Adele would volunteer to sing back-up, in deference to this girl's stunning vocal gift.

I could not agree more with you. It is mind boggling that she is not know world wide. Adele wins awards and is so famous, but she pales in comparison to Vanessa.

dear watson Agreed! I saw her two weeks ago at the Red Hot Summer Tour Bella Vita Farm Sydney. She sung this, I was on cloud 9. She was signing CDs afterwards and I could only look at her from a distance in awe.

That resonance makes it sound like she's singing a G#6 along with that G#5 belt, I keep coming back to this to see what else I can learn from it.

It was a hit! She released it in 2008 and it was a top 5 chart hit in Australia. She’s AMAZING!

Vanessa is the ONLY singer that moves me to tears when she sings.....she's so on par with even the best gospel singers. Truely raw talent and its a crying shame she hasn't made it internationally as other singers of lesser quality have.

judi bby I honestly am too, was welling up from the bridge and then when she did that G#5 belt the tears just flowed and I was overwhelmed with emotion. Vanessa is just such an amazing vocalist.

Best singer of them all. Vanessa is so so pretty with any hair color and before and after her (forgive me) nose operation. She is absolutely my favorite singer. I will never understand why she is not the most well known singer on the planet. Continued success to a great girl.

In my opinion the Greatest singer in the world.

I love it when they do different arrangements and chords you know like adding extra notes into the chord etc to give the song a completely different feel - so this song has a bridge/middle 8 and I didn't even know :)
