When she was sustaining the G#5, the metallic tinge was very noticeable. Her voice is so freaking unique like, there's no one who sounds like her, not even other falcon sopranos. Vanessa is so underappreciated tbh

I cannot believe she has not done better in the Australian music industry, given her stunning international debut at the Olympics and incredible natural talent. It is beyond me!

Possibly no manager or a bad manager but if she has a manager, who knows what he or she has to deal with, Vanessa may be hard to deal with, just because someone has talent even unbelievable talent like Vanessa’s doesn’t mean they have other attributes like a good brain. it doesn’t mean they make good choices in life like surrounding themselves with good mentors. I have no idea what kind of guidance she has had over the years. It may have been an uphill battle for her and it may be that she has a good brain and that’s why she is as popular as she is. One things for sure she has work ethic because I have watched singing coaches critique her skill and she is very skilled. It seams that to make it big in the entertainment world good management is at least as important as talent. I mean Taylor Swift has an ordinary voice and is so successful. She must have a good brain or a good manager or both, and she has longevity. But having said all this, perhaps Vanessa just loves to sing and perhaps she just loves living in Australia. Going to the USA worked for some like Helen Ready, Olivia Newton John combined with amazing talent. It didn’t work for everyone though,Our greatest male singer of the Century John Farnham was unsuccessful in the USA by comparison,so who the hell knows. Kylie Manogue is successful on the world stage and she’s got a very small voice. There could be people read this reply and know some of the reasons but I can imagine those people close to her might never comment.

Voices like hers started to go out of fashion not long after she came on the scene. If she'd have arrived in the 70s or 80s she'd have had a much more successful career.

I think she suits more on powerful ballads, gospel, jazz and funk music rather than going on rock and pop. It doesn't do much justice for such a voice like hers. I believe shed likely to sell more records that way... But then again that's just me. Anyone else agree with me??

@@angelsublime not even close sport, they need vocal gymnastics, to try to cover up. Onced heard Christine try to cover a Free classic, was bloiody terrible. As to the other, well, let's just say shes over Inflated. Judith is just perfect, no autotune, no gymnastics or theatrics needed. She didn't need to be undressed, she was a natural stunner, just gorgeous. Judith and the boys knocked the Fab four off number 1, got equal billing with the Beatles, no bloody Sepo has ever done that. Sorry sport, but they couldn't polish her shoes, and that, little one, is a fact.
