I've been on dialysis for 10 years, this is great. The first one I saw that they were attempting was the size of a soda can, this one is amazingly small. I hope something happens soon with the technology!

Search KZread for kidneys. I have over 100 videos on kidney disease and artificial kidneys. Three colleges Univ of Calif at San Francisco, Wisconsin, and Vanderbilt are working on different versions of a artificial kidney. Each college is looking for test subjects. Hang in there because artificial kidneys will be powered by your heat beat. You will not need to store tons of liquid or take a huge number of pills. So hang in there. I am on dialysis too so keep your head up and never give up the fight!

The funding should come from Medicare. They’d spend billions on dialysis patients, when this could restore health to those patients.

Well I know 2020 will not yield a blessing like this but I pray 2021 and 2022 will show advancements for me and many other on dialysis. We've been waiting on these artificial kidneys for years. I don't care which version hits the market first but we need to start saving lives.

@@ziggy56060 Hang in there. Three colleges are working on developing a artificial kidney (see my comment on main page) It is tough I have been hospitalized many times. There is a new portable dialysis machine that you can use at home without all of the supplies. Help is on the way but you must do your best to remain as healthy as possible. Take your meds and follow your diet. I wish you the best of health.

When Implantable artificial kidney will be available in India ?? My son only 28 years old has been suffering from CKD stage iV. I have heard about this but at all human trial FDA approval has done????

Everyone talking about Artificial kidney.. but can someone really bring it on to the use. Iam getting pop up in KZread... everytime this happens I go find whether it's available for us. Unfortunately it's either 1or 2 years old video... which says it should be in in an year's time .. it's kind of wishes circle

You americans are always too optimistic. I would be very happy to see this idea applied within the next five years !

Because that's how long it takes for FDA approval this is probably already being used in Europe but here Stateside it takes decades and decades and decades and millions and sometimes billions of dollars to get something approved
