Sounds really interesting. I’ll have to see the cost though my advantage plan. Because I was on Glipizide for awhile I was able to switch to Januvia at a greatly reduced cost. I have a heart murmur which may need surgery in the near future and kidney disease also. My function is at 75 % and I really want to keep it from getting worse.

I find it interesting how some medications are covered and some are not. I have Medicare and my part d covers both of my diabetes meds, with a minimal copay. I take a low dose of Basaglar daily and Trulicity once a week.

Kerendia sounds promising.

Great video. On an unrelated note....I have recently come to hear of Resistant Starches. I know you mentioned them in Sweet potato video but can you do a video explaining a little more in depth how they can be useful to a diabetic. Also unclear about whether the nutrients, vitamins and minerals in resistant starches are absorbed eventually or just fermented in the colon and then excreted ?

Please let me know what kerendia is.and where I can get you're medicine.

Yes a lot. It is non steroidal and won’t spike your potassium as much as aldactone

Can we take it in CKD 1 but have Protein Spilling

But in Pakistan now , in my CHOLASTEROL I drink lipitor in the night ,and for my BP I DRINK NORVASC DAILY. WHAT CN YOU SAY ABOUT THIS DOC. THANKS

My doctor told me this when I asked about it. "This medication is not formulary and does not have the studies to support its use. Many new drugs come to market and eventually make their way to our system once sufficient studies are reviewed regarding efficacy, superiority, or safety compared to our current medications." IS THIS TRUE?????

That’s a political statement by a doctor who works for an insurance system saving money off of patients by giving cheap stuff to their patients.

Sir,Being UACR 70 and DM2 patient My Dr has recommended Kerendia 20 before one year I am contacting it with other medicines as per Doctor Now UACR Report is 14.8 .Is it good but my weight is gradually decreaseing.

And frothy urine? Is it a symptom even when your eGFR is 79. I know if you're taking other medications they can also cause frothy urine.

Many of these medications aren't available in Israel

I am type 2. No meds, trying to control with diet. I did have an elevated kidney function when tested about a year ago but since it has been at a fair level. Of course I have CONTROLLED HBP and also high LDL. I need to know if fresh cooked kidney beans are safe for me. Questioning too much protein.

I follow Richard Bernstein M.D. diet in his book "The Diabetes Solution", as he has videos here on YT. I take Metformin and a weekly shot of Bydureon and Lisinopril. Google says: Kidney Beans (1 cup) contains 112.8g total carbs, 84.8g net carbs, 2g fat, 41.5g protein, and 620 calories.

Can Kerendia undo the damage in the Kidney? Can anything be done to reverse a damaged kidney?

I don't think this is for me. Process of detox nowadays to control diabetes blood sugar & pressure with diet being key word. Getting gut healthy. Keeping check on bloodwork/labs.

The best medicine for kidneys even people on dialysis is Lots of water. I know one guy who was on dialysis three times a week and completely reverse his kidney problem by sipping water.

Indian doctors don't know all this to guide us.
