Actually that is false imprisonment which involves totally blocking a person's from leaving a place, by the use confinement or threat of force. Kidnapping specifically involves moving a victim to a different location by force.

It isn't lol. Would help if you knew the law. It can be considered as "false imprisonment" but it's not even close to "kidnapping". False imprisonment is more when you physically stop someone leaving some place, i.e you lock someone in a room against their will and prevent them from leaving. It would be akin to protestors completely surrounding a van stopping the driver moving in any direction, that might be treated as "wilful obstruction of the highway" instead due to the fact it's on a road but it could be considered for "false imprisonment".

I wouldn't describe it as ploughing through, it was done with just enough to ensure he got through the protestors. It didnt look like anyone was injured. Time the Politicians put the people first, time they stood up to this group.

I saw a van driver being assulted through his window by a violent mob, the driver was obviously afraid for his life. I hope he is ok.

I dont know if "plough" was the right word here. More like gently pushed. You wanna see a car plough through a person? There's many videos I've seen of cars hitting people and those people go flying in the air while spinning rapidly.

Don't they realize that by stopping or slowing down traffic they are making the issue worse. A vehicle that is running but is not moving or is creeping along is wasting fuel.

I hate seeing this because.. Who are these people..I EVEN TOUCH MY VEHICLE... don't get me wrong here.. but these people are going to get hurt.. WHO IS PAYING FOR THEM TO BE OUT THERE.. when one of them get run over blocking traffic.. Are they going to block that ambulance too ?

Regardless of how they feel, these people have absolutely no right to block the roads and highways! There are other ways to protest without disrupting people's lives.

Roads have no business existing only for carpeople. They should belong to humans on foot or bike. We shouldn't use cars to transport people anymore. They should be reserved to critical functions like firebrigade and ambulance.

As this becomes the norm, I have a feeling these unreasonable protests will stop very quickly. The right to protest is the right to protest THE GOVERNMENT, not some infinite right to harass ordinary citizens as they go about their ordinary lives. I seriously wonder how many ordinary citizens have died because they or their doctor/nurse couldn’t get to the hospital or were fired because they were already under warning and a protest made them late to work at a critical time or were unable to attend the funeral of a loved one or even just got stuck in traffic with a slightly sick newborn crying and vomiting miserably in the back seat because of these protests. If it was a one-time only protest I might see it as a gray area, but these protests will never stop no matter how many concessions the protesters get. It’s time for the ordinary citizen to take back the streets, and I applaud all who do so in a reasonable, measured way like this.

Well done that man.
