The police need to use what limited powers they have. Since April they have the power to stop and search protesters and to do that obviously involves moving them off the road, maybe taking them away somewhere quiet in a van? Protests should never inconvenience, cause disruption or damage to property. The public needs to take action as i have seen some do.

Her argument is she needed it to get around but totally support no oil. If she cycled, have a E car/bike, underground or walked I would understand. The fact is we should transition of oil but at pace where replacements are viable, economic, and popular. People sitting in the roads but wearing oil products are just hypocritical pains.

I hate this "Just Stop Oil" BS, it's completely ineffective in producing meaningful solutions to the problems we face. But back to the police; Because all they see is the protestors being pushed all they can do is intervene and/or arrest those that become violent, I don't agree with it, but the law works the same way for all people involved, and they do have a right to protest. Removing the right to protest because of the actions of a singular movement would be a very bad way to go, but I do fully agree that these protestors could go about things in far less disruptive ways

I just love the way at the beginning he bursts through that banner like a marathon runner hitting the winning tape.

My only advice to you is bring a lot of handcuffs the next time. If you saw them handcuff them to the barrier or light pole.

@@Philljag They are deliberately provoking drivers by standing in the road, they are there looking for trouble. The police should be removing them as soon as they arrive, not to walk alongside them and waste even more time. They are at fault. But I see it’s difficult for you & others to comprehend that fact.

If they care so much about stopping oil, they should protest outside petrol stations of shell and BP not disrupt the lives of everyday people 🙄

These people are so sad do they really think this behaviour is going to change anything? Delusional. Shame the doctors aren't doing their proper job saving lives.

What's the primary contributor to global CO2 emissions? Coal, burned in power stations and in industry, mainly in Asian countries. Not oil, and certainly not from oil in the UK, whose contribution to global carbon emissions is barely measurable 😑

The fact they think they can stop a whole car is the best part of these type of videos 😂

honestly, if the UK had cars the size of american counterparts, none of these protestors would stand a chance to a 3,800lb car and a need to rush to work

These people need to be arrested and left in jail for a week

Do they walk on foot everywhere? Do they ride bicycle? Do they own electric vehicles? Do they avoid taking public transport like buses and cabs too? Will they block the paths of electric vehicles too?

They catch him but they do not fall prisoner, they are people paid and protected by the governments.

As you manage to pass one , stick your hand out the window and grab one and give them a run lol

Love the oil derivitive products they are all wearing.

Government acknowledges we are in a Climate Emergency. But it's not in the top five priorities.

What do policitians know about science ? very little from my experience- the science is not conclusive - new technologies will solve most of our problems if given a chance- the present solutions are flawed at best- interesting to hear the doctor talk about millions dying - maybe poverty and war have more to do with that statement than oil ? - i wonder if she supports the vaccination of children with the current experimental covid vaccines or is she too worried about losing her well paid GP status to voice her opinion?

couldn't care less if you are doctors or not - and the public are smart enough to choose themselves without your patronising and condescending help. And there are lots of physicists, biologists, ecologists, chemists, technologists, material scientists, environmental scientists (REAL PROFESSIONAL PAID UP ONES!), economists, geologist, and so on (sorry to all of you not included) who have masters and Phds and are bright enough to 'figure s444 out' without your help.
