Renting will only be for the newest case. When a new case comes out they will discontinue rentals for the Kilowatt case and enable it for the new one.

I believe it will be for all cs2 cases going forward, Governments are cracking down on gambling, especially China. Rentables are also a way for people to use their cases in places where cases are illegal to open. It will make valve more money as people will consume more keys and in the long run supply for cases will be lower after this rent feature has been implemented, making them more money through steam "tax"

Had the same idea. In order for the cases to not burn out too fast, the rental shouldnt be permanent

My 350$ .0007 gamma daggers looked like emeralds. Turned to a grayish blue the other night. I was about to play but got off. But they look even better than before now so I'm happy

I don't care about skin rentals and akins altogether. Playing since goldsrc beta versions. My inventory is overflowing with cases from all operations. I plan to sell them for my retirement 😂

Yesterday I played 2 premier matches and there were 4 cheaters in each game. bunny hopping awp one shotting kinda cheater not even need to be suspicious. I think we need an anticheat instead of rented skins

This is more common than not these days. CS is in the worst state it has ever been, yet VALVE pull in record profits. Legit players are just getting shafted left right and centre.

why not? its not a listed skin. If everything was fn or something it would be too op, but no. 1 skins and so on just dont matter at all for rentals, just because they are rentals

I speculate all CS2 cases will be rentable, hence why the made the kilowatt rentable months after its release. I believe they will drop a new case for the new dangerzone 2 mode, similar what they did with the dangerzone case when the mode was released.

I think renting is going to be always a limited, temporary way to play with skins from case. Once this option will be removed, you will have to buy or unlock the skin. If everything was rented it would not make sense for stickers to exist into the future. Rental is just a way to hook up more people on skins.

I was just playing tdm and seen someone get banned with a warning to all about third party programs 🎉

vertigo update makes it so much better for both sides and renting skins is something we needed a long time ago because lets be honest who wants to dumb loads of money on a skin they just want to play with for a day or two

Honestly i don't care if something they do affects thebskin economy. Thats for rich players to complain and wprry about. Valve obviously made the cases to make money but they dont get money from people putting quad-digit investments into cosmetics, valve has no reason to honor some system not made by them. Obviously if a skin looks drastically different in an unintended way then fixing it is prefferable, but ive seen people complain about some battlescarred guns finally looking battlescarred because it used to look more valuable lol
