Does anybody have an issue when playing comp with friends wins don’t count. Whenever I play solo my comp games get ranked and put into my matches tab but everytime I join a friend nothing gets tracked

its worth to mention that now overpass is completely broken, fog around the map is completely gone and planes are just not moving at all they are just chilling in one spot above the map, aswell some birds on italy aswell are broken and don't seem to move at all

Im just curious someone told me nvidia GPUs have dedicated cores for their recording so it has minimal affect on performance is this true? If so what would be better geforce or steam overlay?

I have used Nvidia's "shadow play" with GeForce and have no problems with it

NVIDIA GPUs that are atleast above GT 1030 levels, so atleast GTX / RTX, have an "encoder chip". So yes, 1-5% impact on performance, could be more depending on the game as the encoder chip requires some GPU memory. Then you also have to tune H.264/H.265/AV1 encoders for recording. AV1 is the best and only on latest nvidia/amd/intel cards. H.265 is better for RECORDING than H.264 (You can only stream with H.265 on KZread, otherwise H.264 everywhere else). Also I'd rather use OBS over both, you can record upto 120FPS and force better encoding settings.

@@O6i Also! One more thing to note, when recording clips/videos using any LIVE recording, you should take the video and re-encode it in a software like handbrake. E.x. I have valorant clips 1 min each that I leave fairly uncompressed, those take up ~800MB for 1 minute. I re-encode with handbrake (Using AV1 on CPU not GPU encoder), it takes 30 minutes per video and the output file is not more than 100MB. You could also re-encode with H.265 NVENC (Nvidia special chip) on most GPUs and you'd get approx 100-200MB on the same type of clips. Recordings aren't processed totally efficiently, so you're always recommended to re-encode to save more space.

Thought I'd try the new mills map yesterday... Got cheaters that just steamrolled didn't even get to check out the map, I'd get round a corner and it would be an instant headshot whilst they b hopped around. My team even formed a pyramid and the cheater just came round the corner and killed all of us with a Negev instantly.

I think I know what to expect and I saw this coming people were expecting a opp too soon into cs2 release even with all the info leaked especially right after a major I just straight up haven’t been playing the game I think they are to busy trying to fix a game that wasnt ready for release and adding in a opp plus other features plus anti cheat but it takes time with the new engine people forget so that’s why they have these small lack luster updates

I hate the CS community ngl. Since the community mostly consist out of gambling addicts that are basically just glorified gaming cryptobros, noone cares about the game just "did we get new skins??". For everyone of you "investors" you are the cancer for the gaming industry and you're the reason gamedevs don't feel the need to deliver anything these days. If I hear "I want an operation" again I go ballistic. I don't want one. Why, because its just Skins and I still cant believe people except this bs as content. What a fkg joke.

valve released cs2 with less features than csgo. everything else they've released has been community-developed (skins & maps) or what already had been in csgo. they outsource their tournaments (i.e they dont run them). they outsource their anticheat (faceit) & even overwatch is outsourced to trusted partners. im starting to think gabe is the image of valve...unkept, fat & lazy.

I myself, really like this update. Of course, one of the reasons that I'm not disappointed is because I wasn't expecting and Operation, truth be told I wasn't expecting anything. I've learned that when it comes to Valve, complaining doesn't matter, the devs there only work on projects that they want to and money barely matters to them, so it doesn't really matter what I want. Yeah, I was disappointed with the release of CS2 but instead of sitting around calling Valve lazy, I just played other games, because I don't have to play CS. It was very freeing to realize that I play games for fun, and so I only play CS when I enjoy it, and this update gave me exactly that.
