@TheBrodsterBoy Then the game must be talking about two different side. They are not the bad guy, they are soldiers They just try to protect what they are believe, they just villagers The war came so fast that even no one know if they choose wrong side or not A scene where two talented man face to face. Will one of them survive, or they dead together, or they escape and killed after that, no one will know.....

It fits to the atmosphere and makes this game the best depiction of the Great War I've ever encountered. Dearest Marie, As the War ends for me, I have no regrets. I've seen too much horror. I hope Fate has been more merciful to you. Our time on Earth is brief. Mine has been filled with so much joy, that I can only be thankful for how much I've been blessed. Most specially, for the wonder you brought into my life. This letter will be my last. I have been found guilty by a military court for the death of an officer. It was not my intention to kill him. War makes men mad. And though I failed Karl, I know my sacrifice will not have been in vain. I fought for my country, and my Liberty. My honour is assured. Since it is the will of God to separate men on Earth, I hope we will meet again in Heaven. Keep me in your prayers. Your loving Papa, Always.

Both of the world wars have the power to easily depress even the strongest man if you present them a certain way. Valiant Hearts is one of a small handful of games that pull that off flawlessly. May we never forget the nearly 100,000,000 People who lost their lives trying to survive, or fighting in both of these wars.

Actually, Janfred, as a publisher, they hold a lot of power over the end product. Essentially, they can control when the game is released, how much money is given to the creators of the game, and pull out all financial backing at any time. To say that Ubisoft held no power over the end product is false. To say that the developers of this game didn't care about the nitty gritty of what the publisher wanted, and instead made a genuinely good game is likely more accurate.

Esp with the US and the middle east and 3rd world countries, no one gave a shit until the goverment told us to give a shit about Ukraine. If everyone gave a damn about Ukraine, then maybe the world could have been telling the governments for the past 14 years this shit has actually been going on to stop. Don't come otthis song just cause "poor Ukrainian." you're nothing but a sheepdog if you do. If anything there's a ton more problems in the world that are bigger then russia vs Ukrainian. Only reason people are told to care because the governments have done a lot of evil shit over there that they are covering up. From Covid, to masks, and then suddenly, Ukrainian, my Ukrainian friends have been telling me this shit for the past 12 years, and no one gave a shit. However when Biden and the bitches told everyone to cry adn give over 70 billion dollars to them, you retards jump the ship and do just that. Want to know the real victims of this shit? It's everyone, not just russia, or Ukraine, everyone is in a shit spot right now. Fuck Ukraine, we got a lot more problems to fix then worry about them.

What I remember most about Valiant Hearts was the feeling of dread. From Act 2 onwards, I had the real gut feeling of "How is the world going to be okay after this? How will things ever be normal again?" even though here we are 100 years later. I didn't believe that any one of the characters was going to survive. I believed that Emile, Freddy, Anna, Karl, Marie, and little Victor would all perish in the war. As each chapter closed and opened I felt I was getting closer and closer to their deaths. I remember the scene where this song plays of course, and that chapter, but more vividly I remember the sigh of relief I felt as I saw the survivors together, happy, and at peace. Neither side was victorious, Germany was defeated and France was too crushed to call it a victory, but *war* had been overcome and defeated, and that is the true enemy of everyday people.

This letter is my last. I've been found guilty by a military court for the death of an officer. It was not my intention to kill him. War Makes Men Mad... Though I failed Karl I know my sacrifice has not been in vain. I fought for my country and my liberty, my honor is assured. Since it is the will of God to separate us on Earth I hope we will meet again in heaven. Keep me in your prayers. Your Loving Papa. Always. R.I.P. Yeah it was normal. And in France we got in every single town a " Monument aux morts " translated it give The death monument ( sorry if im wrong ) And the name of people who died for France are on this monument but the name of people who get executed for war crime are not on those monuments. Its sad but the end of this game happened to a lot of French soldiers. ( sorry for my english )

My Grandpa died 3 weeks ago. He became 101 years old. Still can't believe that he is no longer here. I always thought about my grandparents while I was playing this game. Although they suffered among WW2, the horrors and pain, the feelings and emotions made it somehow comprehensible for me. While I drove to work on these days, I heared a Song from Valiant Hearts - it was on my Spotify List somehow. Now I listend to the complete Soundtrack and it really touches me - it's connected to this generation who suffered incredible pain and horrors and were affected their whole lifes afterwards. And so, suddenly, it's also connected to him... I know my grandpa still dreamed about the war and he always spoke about it. And it affected every single day he lived while so many we're not allowed to. He lived his life grateful till the very end and made the best out of it. He meant so much to me, he was always there for me - I will miss him forever. He died sleeping peacefully, whilst holding hands with my Grandma. I know that this is just a post under a videogame track, but this song helps me bear it. Ich hab dich lieb, Opa

When I was scared about fate of characters, didn't know what's going to be. When I thought about people who lived in times of WWI. When I was incredibly happy with reunion of Karl, Marie and Victor; with a reunion of Anna and her father. When I was crying in the end... I hope everybody who's reading it is well and happy. Stay safe. Be whoever you want to be. And don't forget to tell your family and friends how much you love them. Because you don't know what's going to be tomorrow...

Ben Crowshaw said it best in his video: The thing is, Enemy Front is a game about war, but that's _all_ that it's about. Every character is a syphoned representation of their entire social group: Brenda, the brash American on the fence of getting involved with it all; Sexy French resistance lady being all resistance, and French, and sexy...and a lady. And the realistic graphics and dramatic score is utterly straight-faced and utterly dull! What is it's message, that the Nazis were shits and smacking them down was a really good idea? Yeah, we've stirring _that_ pot for seventy years, thanks for contributing. Contrarily Valiant Hearts is a game about _people_, where the war is a monstrous background thing they have no power to avoid, like the big, black dog closing in on the unsupervised Jaffa cakes.

_Never shall I forget that night, the first night in camp, that turned my life into one long night seven times sealed._ _Never shall I forget that smoke._ _Never shall I forget the small faces of the children whose bodies I saw transformed into smoke under a silent sky._ _Never shall I forget those flames that consumed my faith for ever._ _Never shall I forget the nocturnal silence that deprived me for all eternity of the desire to live._ _Never shall I forget those moments that murdered my God and my soul and turned my dreams to ashes._ _Never shall I forget those things, even were I condemned to live as long as God Himself._ _Never._ ~ Night by Elie Wiesel. ~ Holocaust Poem
