VÉVAKI is a folk band which draws from Nordic heathenism and animistic traditions. Myth, ritual and a connection with the natural world inform VÉVAKI’s music, which is both contemporary in sound and wide-ranging in instrumentation. VÉVAKI employ various stringed instruments and percussion throughout their music, its dynamics buoyed by the complementary vocal styles of Will, Sigurboði and Hrafnhildur and the cinematic soundscapes sculpted by Gísli Gunnarsson. This comes to the fore on ‘Fórnspeki’.

I've been listening to this record every day since it came out. For me, it's one of those musical experiences that just flows in from the Universe at the right time. What a magical-sounding album! The drums and vocals are especially transcendent.

This album is of course different than Edda but still i have to admit this is a huge level up in every single aspect of production, beautiful female vocals wonderfuly mixing with powerful darker male vocals, instruments are just top tier even the synth ones! Respect for everybody that put any kind of work to this masterpiece! Wish you all the best from your slavic bro and waiting for another album to drop :)
