@@suvrat Probably the finest example of upaj ang chakradaar. What he says and what he does are different, if we closely observe. As well, the three pallaas of the chakradar end with different improvisations...amazing !. Only Ustadji does it with aplomb, whereas others are always stuck in the grammatical roots of playing same pallas religiously all the time. This is an ultimate example of how to liberate tabla from the shackles of defined textbook norms. I doubt whether many purists still frown over it. But who gives them a damn anyway !!. This is creationism of highest order. Suvrat-ji may kindly rectify my statement, if you think I am wrong here.

As European people I'm I do not understand classical music BUT I salute this amazing sound quality. Crystal clear tone just love it for this reason simple as that. Thank you, merci and love from France.

Completely improvised, that is tabla, he's sitting there with years of focus and creating on stage all his phrases. I loved how he thought out the paltas and played straight away. This is level of work without rehearsing beforehand is mind-blowing.

I am sure that these videos of yours will be regarded as archival treasures for many generations to come, and for your efforts, patiently filming the master for all of us to enjoy and learn from, my sincere gratitude. @@suvrat I broke ten tablas in my mind before writing this bold statement. Its not just sarcastic, its sarcastic in bold. You can't do things with your camera that Zakir ji does with the Tabla. It just doesn't blend you see.

I think there was response from Mr. Parth Tarabadkar which he probably deleted. However, i can read it in my notifications. Parth, the comment was in Jest and I was not being disrespectful to Suvrat in anyways. Its called humor. In Zakir ji's words only a good human being can become a great artist. I have not forgotten those words. But if it has come across as negative instead of funny to you(like Zakirji i don't have a youtube comment mic to make it sound funny you see) or Suvrat, I am sorry and just like you and everyone else, i am equally thankful to Suvrat for recording this video, which in my opinion is the funniest mood that I have seen Zakir ji in. Looks like my attempt to be funny as Zakir ji didn't work out that well. But hey I ain't Zakirji.

Although, I had posted this 7 months ago, its still fresh in my mind how Parth's comment had come as a surprise or should I say shock to me. However, it helped me understand that unless you have achieved a certain stature in your life, your words/humor won't be consumed and or appreciated in the way someone who has achieved that. Yet I don't think he enjoys performing anywhere else as much as he does here. Zakir ji's Gurupurnima solos (in front of the audiences you call ‘mannerless’) are some of his BEST ones.
