very good observation !! Ustadji has always stayed deeply rooted to classical music. 99% of the common junta get swayed by his looks and panache. They have never understood the real Zakir Hussain, coz' it is too difficult for them. Ustadji plays a very expressive yet the most difficult brand of tabla which even educated tabla players cannot fathom.

I was blessed to experience this Solo live at Sathya Sai Auditorium, that to sitting near the cyclorama. Great divine vibes....Sarangi and Zakir ji himself. He is just phenomenal... Even Sabir bhai sarangi was outstanding. The musicianship between the two are exceptional. There is some vibration in Zakir ji that makes thousands of audience to one mind and one heart. His music capable of making someone forgetting time. 🙏🙏🙏

It's not a problem of the people who dislike , the fact is we are in generation where we don't have that group who understand and appreciate this form of Art.... gold will be gold..

I find that many viewers are unnecessarily bothered about the number of "dislikes" instead of appreciating the music. This is a negative way of approaching something which can cleanse the soul.

What a great soul Zakir is. The best tabla player in history with only a few years of stamina left, but still at the top of his form, and yet he gladly plays humble theka for his sarangi player for a long while and appreciating every moment of it... महान आत्मा

Being affected with COVID-19, finding some time in my hectic life (to fight for survival), finally I've got the oppotunity to enjoy this mesmerizing and enthralling performance, one of bests in the millennium! What an occassion to rise up! Remembering Ustad Ahmad Jan Thirakwa, one of the brightest stars in the sky-- on the stage, Ustadji, paying his richest tribute! Many a men even connoisseurs, sometimes complains of his gimicky westernized performances. Some of them also compare him with others which is totally unfair esthetically! Lo, listen, what a performance it is! What about Sarangi and Sabir ji? His part here for sure is unparalleled, soothing to the ears and complimentary! Please, use quality head phones! Otherwise, I'm affraid you will miss the delicate nuances of the 'Baya'! Please, don't skip the 'vilambit laya' portions which I think are studded with real gems. Long live, Ustadji! I agree Ustad Ahmed Jaan Thirakwa is one of the greatest (sometimes called the Mount Everest of tabla) and Zakir ji performed very well here. I agree that some people say that he has too many gimmicks and say that people like Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri are better. But comparing is just wrong. I agree all of the are great infact it was Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri's performance at bengal music festival inspired me to pursues tabla. But all of them are great and comparing is just wrong.

Master of tabla... Ustad zakir hussain worthy to be praised for their hard work.... Dont look for a tabla only because its their life and blood not tabla only.... Only deep listeners would understand this.

He is God of tabla I'm seeing him for last 25 years simcemy college days he is almost 70 years but speed and clarity is same .nobody has come close to his standard of playing .I saw him live five... Finally even I'm a tabla player..

Ustad has not only mastered the Tabla but also the way of playing the Tabla! I always say that Tabla is a very visual instrument and we need to be aware on how we look when we play not just bols
