The Kirov's have always been one of my favorite of the Soviet warships, they are simply gorgeous. Thanks for the build, several techniques I've never seen before.

sadly when i hear kirov i think of giant armored blimps that can take hundreds of SAM missiles to kill and are always deployed by the dozen

Man, those edges where water meets wood look so clean compared to cast resin. Beautifully done. I could watch entire videos of you just doing water effects.

The water effect's brilliant, and overcomes a problem with the usual putty/plaster method; it needs to be specular to look real, i.e; be as smooth as glass so it can reflect light in the right way. Foil achieves that.

Honestly, the best method YET!!! Thank you for sharing!!!

Just completed the very similar 1/700 Trumpeter Frunze kit. Quite a tricky build with many tiny parts, warped decks and almost unusable decals. You did a terrific job here.

I think one scale of this model speaks for itself, that you decided to build a model on such a small scale.

The tinfoil technique works very well. Good videography too - uncluttered background, clear commentary and good background music that does not distract.
