USQ Mooting Finals - Downlands v St Josephs

MORE than $35,000 in scholarships and prizes were awarded in the grand final of the University of Southern Queensland's (USQ) Secondary Schools Moot Court Competition at USQ Open Day last Sunday.
Nineteen school teams from Toowoomba and Ipswich regions competed in the competition, with Downlands and St Josephs being successful in four previous moots to reach the decider.

All three members of our team received a half-year scholarship to study Law at USQ worth over $5000.
The event was judged by Justice Peter Applegarth from the Supreme Court of Queensland, Judge Sarah Bradley from the District Court of Queensland and Professor Simon Young from USQ's School of Law and Justice.
