This video seriously ended up on the wrong side of KZread. All round the globe, countries have their own unique accent BUT they can usually only be understood by their own citizens, NOT foreigners. So they also change their accent for convenience. Yes, she should have spelt our country’s name correctly but it can happen when she’s going in the flow of another accent. No need for so much hate! GOSH. This video seriously ended up on the wrong side . You guys are making fun of her because of her “fake” accent. Would you stop for a minute and think about “how” the words are actually pronounced? She has to “fake” her accent because most of the words pronounced in “our accent” are completely wrong. Since you spell the words wrong as well, you will understand the “Nepali accent” but Canadians won’t. And I’m not talking about just Nepali accent, all round the globe, countries have their own unique accent BUT they can usually only be understood by their own citizens ,NOT foreigners. Might not be overt but if you watch borat you'll know. The West also has its puritin culture. Mostly tied to christian vaules. It just depends on your circle. The only way they get said freedom is not having parents. But then theses people will complain about how hard it is to work there and live by yourself. It was your decision you can't back out and call people who stayed back home spoiled. Privilege doesn't equate easy life it means access to information and opportunities. The problem with most nepali people isn't they want freedom it's they want to be white or the like acting white. That's the issue. I am not the most petrotic guy out there but I know there is a value in my being and by culture. And I understand that my culture isn't lesser then others. I don't have the need to fit in. I don't feel the need to be ashamed and erase that part about me. There are a lot of self hating nepali. They hate the colour of their own skin, the way they talk. The way they live their lives.
