@@LRF49 I'm genuinely curious. When you say "average", do you mean average for us? Like you literally mean half the guys on our team were worse than him? To my eye he had the worst performance of any American player, except arguably Jesus Ferreira who debuted against the Netherlands and had to be taken off at halftime. I can't think of anyone who played worse when they were on the field.

Is McBride high...? Whatever he's taking, he should share with the rest of the world. It's really insane that he defends the addition of Moore to this roster... a lot of the players could play right back better than Moore and at a higher level (Tyler, Musah, Ream, Weah, even Trusty who was omitted). Hard to trust anything he says at this point, that take was so bad.

Shaq Moore and Timmy Tillman not being properly criticized for being selected doesn't reflect well on the ball knowledge of these men. These guys have done nothing-very little to earn caps. It's really sad guys like Marlon Fossey (stylistic like for like for Dest and better player than SM) and Lennard Maloney should be here over those two.

A few of these guys seem out of their depth trying to be tacticians, but in the end it is NOT the Tactics as much as the players finding the spaces, moving to them, and filling the space on D...simple as top Teams in Europe show us every time we play them. I agree Brandon Vasquez is a great option. when you are playing summer tournaments in the northern hemisphere it helps to have players who are playing in warm climates who are in mid-season during the northern summer. pretty cool to have huge dudes when attacking and defending set pieces. Spanish is a pretty big deal in international soccer, too

I'm assuming Slonina and Schulte will be on the Olympic team (only 2 GKs). Roman Celentano has been better than Sean Johnson. Drake Callender has been similar, but he's younger. Shaq Moore is the biggest head scratcher though. He's been injured much of the year, and he hasn't been particularly good when he's been healthy. If you are taking an MLS player, I'd rather see Brooks Lennon. I'm assuming Aidan Morris and Jack McGlynn will be on the Olympic team. I probably wouldn't have brought Timothy Tillman, but at least he's been really good in MLS this year.

Busio is a guy I think could be starting to get calls, I've been very impressed with his play at Venezia, Tessman is close as well but needs a bit more polish. Pepi does what Vasquez does and does it better with more footspeed imho. To me, Vasquez chased the money instead of challenging himself to go to Europe. If he would have went to the Championship (we know there were offers but they didn't pay as much as Mexico), then I think he might get on this roster.

i think having someone fast and physical at right back is big when u r playing against Lucho Diaz and Vinicius. gotta set the US up to defend against these teams imo

My only change would be to put Weah at RB. Move McKennie back to the midfield. Musah is out of the starting 11 for me unless Adams or Reyna can't play. And start Haji on the wing. I don't hate your line up though. Wouldn't complain if that was 3Gs starting 11.
