No. But it’s crazy to see how far iPhone have come in the last decade or so. We now have the iPhone 14’s that can do anything you throw at it. And then there is the iPhone 14 pro series with the amazing feature called “The Dynamic Island” How technology has changed has really amused me and seeing the iPhone 5s in 2022 just makes me feel how far we have come. This is your amazing video to watch and seeing where iOS and the iPhones evolve in the future is something I am looking forward to seeing.

I use my 5 (no S) to go jogging. I just pop my SIM card from my regular phone in (to be able to call someone if needed) before I leave. As I prefer having my music stored locally rather than streaming it (and I don't have unlimited data plan available in my country), I have most of my music synced to it. And as it has a headphone jack you can decide to use wired IEMs or pair it with your Bluetooth buds of preference. It's light enough to go jogging without having it slap on you with every move you make. And the availability of parts means you can keep it usable for a LONG time.

I have an Iphone 5S that i used until a relative sent me her iphone 7 after buying the X. After some error and trial, i repurposed it into a distraction free study tool. I hid the safari browser out of sight, and installed several dictionaries and verb conjugators, a link to wikipedia and wikitionnary, an epub reader, 2 time apps (for keeping time blocks of 1 hour etc), VLC for installing media (like podcasts or music for light distraction), Anki (a flashcard program) and Simplenote (for writing notes that i wish to access on other devices). Also serves as my alarm clock for waking up, without the temptation of checking social media or internet i had in my main smartphone. It is very useful in my case.

had this little brick since 2013, worked amazingly good and was super resillient even in 2021. had to switch to an iphone 11, but my 5s served me well for 8 years.
Not the 5S but the 6S, and I freaking love it. It works perfectly for everything I need every day, and it looks *so damn good*
The 5s in space gray is my favorite iphone. Sure, i got mine in 2018(it was my first ever phone) but i just loved its clean simple design, the boxy corners, the camera thats FLUSHED into the bodywork( *AHEM IPHONE 7 AND BEYOND* ) and the small size
It's design makes me love it, the Touch ID that was added. its so tiny that I love it.
i think due to the perfection of its slim design is what made them use the same Chassis for the 1st gen Iphone SE. Which i have both and i love the design of this small iphone vs the "Mini" design that modern iphones have.
Watching this from my iPhone SE 1st Gen, it’s incredible how good this phone works after many years of use.
Found a lot of these at my local flea market over the years, still one of my favorite phones to repair!
It was already quite surprising it was usable back in early 2019 when I got one for like 40 USD for a backup phone. I would have expected it to be absolutely obsolete over 3.5 years later. The fact that there's still a bit of life left in it, even if that were to change in a few months, is absolutely impressive.
I had an iPhone 5, got it at launch and loved that thing to death. I replaced the battery once in it and only upgraded to my brothers iPhone 7 when it's software was no longer being updated. (Can't remember which year, it was a while ago)
Great video! I'm personally still carrying around the iPhone SE 2016 as a secondary phone without SIM, it's really small and lightweight which makes it my preferred way of taking notes in a distraction-free way. Also 6:05 is it just me or does this look hilarious to anyone else?

My first iphone was a 5s, switched to it from a much larger and on paper better specced LG G2. Hard to summarize but the iphone felt so much more premium in every way despite having a much smaller screen and ostensibly lower specs, that I have been loyal ever since, owning a 7, an XR, an 11 Pro Max and soon a 14 Pro
I have one stored in my office drawer. It is a 64GB one. This iPhone was an outstanding device. I used it for 2 years.
Great video!! I love the size of this phone!
I bought an iPhone 5s for literally $1 as a joke on eBay just to see what would show up. Listed as water damaged, the inside was just covered in rust. Plugging it into a charger with an amp meter showed it was drawing power and then shorting out. Leaving it to charge for an hour caused the battery to bloat up so I took it out and installed one I had extra. After this the phone just booted up yet the screen was blank because it was dead. Plugging into my computer I could see that it was on the iOS 9.0.2 setup screen, ic unlocked. Rn I’ve got a screen on it which i took from a $4 coffee filled iPhone 5s which also turned out to work fine. Pretty resilient phones I’ll tell you that.
You man are great are sill using it!!

One of my sisters had a 5S I gifted her for her 15th Birthday. She loved it, until it got unfortunately stolen. Myself, I had the 2016 SE, which is what I would recommend if you want a cheap and small phone, as support for it has just been dropped by Apple, with iOS 16 incompatible with it. If possible, get the 32GB or 128GB versions, the 64GB has reasonable capacity but it’s the original run and quality wasn’t stellar. After selling that 2016 SE, I got the 2020 SE, but it left me unhappy and switched to the 12 mini; and will buy the 13 mini by year’s end.
