    Thanks Wade, always appreciate longshot loads. I use it for 12g 20g and 9mm, 45. There are better powders for each application but in these times of limited options and availability I resort back to 1 powder to do it all. Also a much deserved thanks for getting me into shotshell reloading. I find it really relaxing and a way to spend an hour or so after the kiddos are asleep.

    I 've been loading centerfire for decades. Loading shot shells sent me for a loop until I saw several of your videos. Loading and molding buckshot wasn't working for me with the crimp. Then I saw your video on 12 gauge buckshot that someone asked you to load 3 buck shot strung together from mold for total of 9 shot. You cut the wings off the wad and presto my problem has been solved! They don't teach that stuff in the manual. But made sense to me. Thanks so much!

    Excellent, thorough video Wade👍🏼🔥. Finished your video and had to jump onto MA’s and got me a .31 cal mold ordered. We run the woodstove all winter in tandem with our baseboard. Keeps the oil costs down during winter here in Maine. The warmth a woodstove gives is unlike any other form of heat. Full body warmth to the bone and the aroma. Stay warm and keep off the roads 😜.

    @@BubbaRountreeOutdoors Yea, we are, sort of. A balmy 45° below freezing this morning at -13°. Looking at one heck of bomb snowstorm this weekend too climbing up the Atlantic from the south. Looks like a great weekend to cast.

    fireside reloading makes for some good production. the component colors look great in those blue hulls, almost wouldnt want to shoot them

    I don't see any 0 buck shells anymore in the stores. I only know of one #1 buck load and it's a personal defense load. You are rally doing the sport a service by making these videos . I hope it is getting people to take up reloading .

    Wade's been an asset to my buckshot reloading effort. Prior to joining the Buck & Slug group on Facebook, I was afraid to try any load that's not in the BPI book and my patterns weren't impressive. Now that's changed

    Do you know if you can use dive belt sea pearls they say it #4 shot. Can I load shotgun shells using them?

    @Bubba Rountree Outdoors Do you have any tips for tuning the loads? I got horrible patterns from 35 yards for 2 3/4" S&B gold hull, Gualandi BRG 12 and 14, 10 pellets of Lee 00, 27-30 grains of Longshot and Federal 209, with buffer. 18.3 mm or "skeet" barrel.

    Wade, I have a TON of Winchester WST on hand because my son's senior 2020 trap season was cancelled. I've been loading some buck and slug by weight with it. If you have some of that powder could you do some testing to get a good load in 2 3/4 Winchester AA or Federal multipurpose? I just have a lot of this stuff on hand and I'd rather buck or slug it out than bird shot. Great video as always. Thanks!

    I haven't been able to get my hands on any of the Win powders yet! You can match payload weight with any posted data for game/trap loads using your buckshot!

    Does it need to be high brass (16mm-25mm) or will rio feild hulls low brass work.(the dark blue ribed hulls.) Do all magnum loads like this require high brass ? Please answer all 3 questions. Look forward for your answers and I just tested the turkey bb 2 3/4 foicchi high brass primed shells from ballistic products with the 2 3/4 multi metal wads 33grs. longshot in my over and under 12 gauge love them and just finished making the first 25 rounds thanks a million.

    no it doesn't have to be high brass! Low brass hulls work the same.

    Whoa! It’s a post frenzy! Keep up the good work Wade. I’m still working on an easily produced wad splitter/trimmer with the auto eject function. Had some stuff come up the past couple of years and haven’t been able to finish it like I wanted to. Should have some more time to get it done and send a few out to you. Cheers

    It's the same data for either hull. I use both equally! really no preference for me.

    no... the super 12 (mg42) is attached by hinges to the base.

    most new hulls now-a-days are steel that are plated with chrome or brass. but you can load any of them!

    the mini patterns usually have a slightly wider perimeter pattern than the full grown MG42. Both are great wads for buckshot!

    the wads are basically the same. the MG42 has longer pedals and also has hinges holding the pedals to the power-piston (wad base) while the mini has short pedals that are designed to shed during the firing process.

    Yes you can. As long as the payload weight is the same shot size doesn't matter!

    Afternoon Wade, hope your well?!. Just checked on c and g's and bp's website and it lists the payload weight for a gualndi h-12 / ssw to be 1 3/8 max but your jamming over 2 oz in there? Just being cautious as I've literally just managed to grab some longshot over here and I'd like to load a 1 7/8oz 15 x 00 buck load in a 3 inch cheddite and I happened to have those wads.

    No data will be posted for a payload that over-stacks a wad. That short wad has a shallow pocket.

    @@BubbaRountreeOutdoorsI tore the petals off and filled up the shallow pocket in the bottom of the power piston section of the ssw with a 1/8th 20 gauge felt cushion so that its flush/flat and stacked x 15 00 buck by 3's conventionally

    the nail hardener seals the round... keeps the buffer in and moisture out!

    I’m commenting just simply to ask a question does anybody have a shotgun that absolutely hates 00buck but absolutely loves 000buck at 35 yards my pew pew will get 2-3 pellets on a target in a 18x18 inch same distance whole 9 a 8 pellet 000 load no matter the maker will put 4-5 in a 5 inch spread

    yessir! shotguns can be just that picky about what buckshot rounds they like. That's why it's so important to shoot/pattern then as much as possible!

    My 11-87 hates OO and loves OOO I may get 3 out of 15 in a 30" circle at 60yards. And the OOO it puts all 10 in a 5gal bucket lid at 60 yards.

    Someone asked me and I don't know. Take a shot cup, will it with 00 then fill it with epoxy resin. Then take it when curred and stuff it down in the hull and roll crimp it in. Can that be done and if so any danger one should be aware of?
