A friend of mine uses an 1187 Remington 3” He had an issue with the hulls hanging up with the star crimp every now and then. I told him to bring his gun over and let me see what’s going on. The hull was stretching just a bit when firing and causing it to hang up every now and then. So I roll crimp his rounds now or trim the hulls very lil bit when I star crimp them. For his gun. Fixed his issues with extracting fired hulls. 👍

I’ve been loading .33 cal pellets in the CSD 114 and 100 wads. You have to be very careful to not use to much pressure when roll crimping and I don’t push down on pellets for a perfect stack. I just roll crimp with .33 cal with those wads. Star crimping them uses to much crimp pressure and dimples the hulls to much a lot of the time. Roll crimping .33 cal with those full length wads has been the way to go for me. Smaller pellet sizes star crimp fine with those full length wads. I’ve been testing those loads at 60 yards on paper with awesome results. Good job Mr. Wade. 👍

I bought a bag of LBC-43 wads about a year ago. I have to use an Over shot card over the powder or it blows out the gas seal, even with mild powder charges. I’ve tried 20 gauge cork and even felt as cushion inside the wad, for me the cork works better. I’ve had some success with T buck and #4 bk. I agree 110% on full cut for the pedals. The ones that I tried half cut with 2 or 4 petals usually hit the target at 40 to 50 yards with pellets stuck in the base of the wad.

Yep .33 cal 00 buck does fit in the lbc50 wad, it’s a little tight but not enough to bulge the hull out at all in our experience. Right out of a Lee 18 cavity mold, tumbled, powder coated.

Dude, that's perfect. I was going to ask that very thing. I might already have somewhere. Maybe another video. Molds are too costly to just go buy more. 33 cal is what I have. Thanks👍 I did see a video where you made a 32 cal mold by Spraying a 33 cal with graphite but I have the lee mold. I'm not sure if that would work well. 14:49

Wade a great video that answered a lot of buckshot loading questions for me. You mentioned blue dot powder giving you better patterns at extended ranges. What are you considering extended ranges? I'm a turkey hunter who loads/reloads my shells and wants to do more with buckshot and deer hunting. You're a great resource. Thank you in advance and God bless.

Just a heads up, I just got the CSD -100 and CSD-078 to try out. They have a VERY thick and heavy lip inside the wad, roughly about 1/8" from the inside bottom. Both are less than 28ga diameter below the lip, so you'd have to use a 32ga card or possibly smaller, I don't know yet. This obviously isn't really an issue for bird shot. I can fit 0.320" in both above the lip, possibly 0.330", maybe. Anyway, keep up the good work!

Hey Wade, Just going through watching a bunch of older videos. Question my friend; using 2 3/4”Federal premium buckshot hull, ( one piece design) have you ever had Longshot ignition troubles using CCI 209 or Win. 209 standard primers . I have loaded half a dozen test loads in these hulls and though internally they appear as a Gold Medal , the primers go off and no ignition?
