Using CHUNKS | RPG Mainframe
Ойындар
CHUNKS are simple conceptual pieces of monsters, vehicles, or hazards that include abilities. Destroy the CHUNK, eliminate the ability. The uses are many... here are a few ideas.

Brilliant vehicle combat ideas
I was homebrewing some spells, and I titled one "Safety Globe", and immediately a little image of Hankerin popped up in my mind and said, "That's the most stupid spell name ever," and I laughed for like five minutes straight. (Sorry this is not about the video, which was totally awesome and inspirational)
Thank you so much. Started in 86. Stopped for family and career. Returned to the hobby to share it with my kids. You, PDM and DM Scotty/DMG have shown me how to elevate games to one of the best social events you can have.
Chunks as creature parts is pretty standard in a lot of video games, and I am absolutely stunned that I never considered that. But I have loved chunks for vehicles since I read ICRPG 2E, and use them any time a vehicle or encampment fortification comes along. Thanks for the in-depth info!
Easily one of my favorite videos you have ever made.
About to start my third DnD campaign soon and a big reason players continue to play is because of the ideas and vibes from this channel. Still listen to and study these podcasts! Thanks, Hankerin!
As I have just discovered the joy of mecha this year through Armored Core and Gundam, I appreciate this concept.
I really like this concept of taking the players from somewhere familiar to the world you've created, kind of saying "Here, here is where we start." and then everything unfolds out from the players decisions from there.
It is a BOO LAY. Tim Kask said so himself.
thank you for this amazing idea
My favorite way I have ever started a game was an evil campaign… the first 15 mins of session1 , they did not play the characters. I set the scene for them to improv an intro as they each played as the spy informants to an enemy corrupt general, fat and slothen. Each Player had to play as a Bookish informant and with great fear, they had sensible reign to describe any recent horrors of what the actual player character has done to the land and it’s people. Poisoned wells, assassinations, Destroyed towns alll the evil things The General, played by me, would downplay the characters and up talk his Super fortress while insulting the fearful consiltants… but as they finish their reports and the general swalloes his mutton, a series of explosion rings out just outside growing closer and all the lights in the room fade! “Oh No, It’s Them! They’re coming” “Wrong, one is already here” fade to black as one Player character slaughters that whole locked i down room. Then camera cut to the others blasting in and they immediately dungeon crawl to get X, playing as the monsters the players just described. And at this stage everyone has the names and themes of the other player and can start working as a team! Gunning down surprised gairds while I play *Hit the Lights* by Metallica I feel like I subconsciously got that Idea from a spy movie but it really helped that first session *POP OFF*
Good one. Thanks!
No mention of Crown and Skull? The chunkiest system out there

Yeah, he's mentioned before in these podcasts that these were being recorded in like 2018
Thank you! I needed this for this weekends game.

Hey Hankerin, got a brainwave when you said use chunks for montsters - and thought about some kind of attack Hell-Icopter using the Pit Fiend stat block and chunks. Speaking of changing and evolving. I came to the channel when ROOM DESIGN was a main feature of the channel - going from 3d minatures and boards to more theatre of the mind, how do you feel your approach to rooms has changed? Being mainly theatre of the mind I sometimes find it in a bit of a weird space when thinking about putting something on the floor for someone to possibly find - as one would a 'token'.
