Using a Linden Monofin with a Finfolk Fabric Tail

Hello mers! Welcome to watching my legs for 10 minutes while I wrestle with putting my mermaid Linden monofin into my Finfolk Fabric tails! I hope this helps some of you mers out there :)
A few tips:
- If possible do when wet
- Open up the vinyl before trying to put the fin in
- Have a buddy make sure you aren't bending your fluke while trying to put the tail in
- Make sure the tips of your monofin are going into the correct tip of the fluke
- Some bending may be required for the monofin, but don't be too rough :)
- Some flukes like the Sea Nymph have a more delicate point on the fluke right where the little fins meet the main part of the fluke. Be careful around those types of points.
Good luck mers! :D
Swim Safe!
P.S I am not responsible for any damages to your tails or fins if you try to insert the mermaid linden into your finfolk fabric tails. Insert at your own risk

I realize this is a whole year later that you’ve posted this BUT this video was exactly what I needed to fit my Linden in my sea nymph! I was struggling for over an hour trying not to stress the fabric and you really gave the best advice! Tried it and got it in less than 5 minutes!

My exact struggle sometimes when I put bigger monofins in (short length zippers and big monofins just don't really mix) aarrgghh😂 I too really get soooo fed up of this "Fight" 😂😂

Omg I really hope everything goes well, since I'm a bit confused about the sizes since I live in Germay 🙈 also they sadly won't answer my questions :/

Greetings, lovely Mermaid Linyenea! Thank you so much for sharing this process with the rest of us! While the Mermaid Linden adult monofin has only been designed currently as of June 2019 to fit into the Mertailor Guppy tails, it is a happy accident that it is fitting into other companies' tails ;) My recommendation to prevent any "injuries" while putting this into other tails would be to add a little bit of conditioner to the monofin and slip it in easily without friction on the tail skin or other components. It will evaporate and won't hurt the vinyl or fabrics. When in doubt, lubricate! I also love the zen music in the background, your super rad mermaid scale pants, and your efforts to share this!!! :) You are a gem!!! xoxo and happy, safe mermaiding to you!!! ~Mermaid Linden Oo

One more hint!!! The Mermaid Linden monofin is extremely resiliant. The blue coating on the outside of the monofin and at the tips is merely a coating over the base part of the fluke :) You can also soften the blade slightly by soaking it in hot water before you place it in the skin ;)

@@MermaidLinden Thanks for the tips! :D I will definitely try them out next time. Your monofin fits a wide range of tails including finfun and suntails skins by the way :) It is the most versatile and safe monofin for mermaiding in my opinion especially for beginners! I recommend both the adult and kids versions to people all the time who are interested in starting their mermaid adventures :) (Also, those pants are my mermaid PJs xD Can never have too much mermaid in my life)

Is that an original dragonheart or one of the re-prints on the newer material? Just wondering as I have an older generation one and wonder if the Linden will fit it or if that's only the case for the newer print?

You didn’t use any screws or Velcro’s to secure it?

I have a tail, not Fin folk, that doesn't come with a monofin or vinyl. It's the same design as the dragon heart. I want to buy a linden for it but it doesn't fit the whole tail so there's just loose fabric. Does that work okay or is there a solution? Relatively new mermaid. Have been using finfun for a couple years. Advice really appreciated! Should the monofin fit all the fabric of the fin or are loose parts okay?

I haven't personally with this fluke shape but I know others who have swam in Finfolk tails or mertailor tails with the linden and no vinyl and they enjoyed it :) do be cautious when swimming in a new tail like that though as the drag can be suprisingly strong :)

@honey4094... Used to struggle with the exact same dilemma... I just finally took apart the seams very carefully and got a local tailor attach zippers to it 😅
