That gimbaled drink holder is pure comedy gold! If it requires two hands to use it, doesn’t it make more sense to just have a small table at hand, and maybe use a coaster if desired? That doesn’t require nearly as much effort or coordination to use.
One again, 3D Printer KZreadrs and I have a different interpretation of the word "useful".

Idk about that cup holder, PLA deforms at 50 Celsius

And coffee is 70-80°C. Also that thin upper support being clamped against? Really poor design. Guaranteed to split.
An improvement for the SD card rolodex is to add more room at the ends of the card holders for labels, maybe about 1.5 to 2 cm, and I believe the original rolodex had a "finger" to keep the cards from falling until an exact moment, a little after they would from gravity. That would make it more reliable, predictable and identifiable
Thank you for continuously helping me greenlight my monthly printer budget with my wife. "Is that mug holder ready yet?" "Not yet, but I could print faster with a hotend upgrade... or a second printer"
I have the cup holder thing and it honestly worked great for like a year until I walked into it like a moron and cracked the screw. Thankfully, since it's 3d printed, I just printed it with an infill above the like 30 i did the first time and it's rock solid now.
Very high production value for such a simple concept - great video
I've designed a number of functional things to 3D print, but I haven't gotten around to sharing them anywhere yet. I hope someday to design something cool enough to be featured in one of your videos, as they're much nicer than any demo I could film myself. : )
amazing job my friend, very good start for any project
hello, what parameters do you use on your creality ender 3 ? Do you use prusaslcer, ideamaker, cura, superslicer or simplify 3D to slice your prints.
That Gyro cup holder is perfect for anyone that spends time on a boat.
Awesome video and thanks for the feature! 🥰

what is the drilling tool that you are using to build the sd card holder at 5:15
hi! have a question! which is the program that you show on minute 12? i saw a lot of pieces or little models on the screen and I'm new on this world so maybe it can help me! thanks!
What 3d printer did you use for the laptop saver
The tea bag holders look like a PITA to use. They should be flat on the bottom to make sliding the tea bags out easier on your hands. At present, it looks like you have to go at an angle with your hand to make it dispense the tea bag properly. Also, as others have already pointed out, the gimbal glass holder is the most impractical design in this line-up.
Cool awesome prints
I liked these prints, thanks for sharing. I'm looking for some useful or interesting TPU prints. Do you know of any?
Great video quality!

What table mat do you use?
Anyone have any recommendations on a preferably prebuilt auto leveling 3d printer? I’ve been looking at the mono price mini v2. I literally just want to download premade things from thingiverse and just making cool or useful items but eventually when I have more time and money, I’d want to upgrade to something better of course.
Amazing 👍👍

so many people with negative comments, they want to think so much forward that they forget the basics, any design or project exists so that they can be improved, there is nothing in this world that didn't start from the simplest or even ridiculous and that over the years has become the amazing things we use today, look at the beginning of the plane or the automotive industry these are just a few examples of thousands that exist, don't be so negative, evolve my friends, fly with evolution, and stop belittling the PLA I have projects done in PLA in my car for more than 4 years and in the summer it reaches +40ºc inside the car and everything is ok, the difference is to make the correct 3d printing with correct position and values, I dedicated myself to perfecting the pla in the last 4 years and I managed to we were spectacular, to give you an idea the minimum printing temperature I use for PLA is 220ºc

I hear you. I have PLA parts that have been outside in the direct sunlight in 100°F+ days off and on for a couple years now, and I've seen no signs of degradation yet.

Iove the way a coaster is demonstrated, you put a glass on it you say? Then put something in the glass? 🤯 Whatever will they think if next. A holder for your cup? How would that work, i don't understand, please show me this holder of cups.
Cupholder breaks extremely easily, slides off edge of table easily unless you glue it

It's a terrible design. Especially for PLA. That print is basically designed to tear itself apart at the layer lines.

PLA and a hot Cup of coffi ... Best Idea ever.
@NormanTiner
Жыл бұрын
@@Apurox seriously. A cup of coffee is 70-90°C, and PLA is LIQUID at 170-180°C. PLA will even deform if left in a warm car. Combine that with the weight of the mug, the weak top support, layer line weakness, and a clamp? It's just stupid. Even with a stronger material it's a bad design.
@wernerhiemer406
Жыл бұрын
@@NormanTiner I think that was meant ironically. Saying that as an Aspi. But what my confusion is "laptop" safer.
@hollt693
Жыл бұрын
@@wernerhiemer406 Yes, the "best idea ever" line was sarcastic, but I see no indication that Norman wasn't aware of that fact. As for why the cup holder is referred to as a "laptop saver", my only guess is that by keeping your cup off of your desk, it's meant to prevent you from accidentally spilling it on your laptop. It still seems like a dumb name for a cup holder, but there you go.
Hi I’m. New to 3D printing. The question I have is, do they make 0.5 refilling reels? If so can send me to that location. Thank you foryourtime. Walter

Can't imagine a worse design for a cup holder print. Everything is wrong. PLA will warp at temps lower than hot coffee. The clamp directly puts stress on the layers. The top support is way too thin and has no reinforcement. Combine all these features with the weight of the coffee cup and you have a print designed literally rip itself apart. It's a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. I'd rather have my coffee where I can see it instead of hanging under the desk so when I swivel or pull up my chair I get a lap full of coffee.

About the PLA: the designer of this cup holder advises to not use PLA for warm drinks, don't know if PETG is sufficient, but ABS should be no problem. The clamp is printed sideways, which is the right choice for not putting stress on the layers, my only concern would be the screw then.
