About the offending anime just don’t call it a cartoon because that can get on some people’s nerves. Also while this anime can be very detailed and realistic most of the time it’s still an anime. There will be flashbacks, slow motion, a lot of dialogue, thinking about entire plays and making decisions in the span of 0.5 seconds, and an attack that probably would not be allowed in real life volleyball. As long as you understand that and just go along with it you’ll probably have a really good anime experience.

does anyone actually still get offended by the whole cartoon shit? Anime is so mainstream now, you'd think not. Plus I don't recall any allowed play that wasn't called in the entire anime. Keeping in mind its a series and it gonna have dramatization its actually good advice especially to someone that's just now starting on anime.
@bibeans

@@brunolopes2205 I know some people who do argue that cartoons are different than anime. So I just thought it would be best to just avoid any unwanted online arguments in the comment section by warning her about it. I didn’t really understand what you meant about the “allowed play that wasn’t called” but I meant that when they improve their quick attack in season two, it probably would be called a double hit because of the spin on the set. But then again there are some gray areas with how the refs could call it. So it could be argued that an attack like that would not be realistic in actual volleyball. I just thought that this would be good advice to give her to make the viewing experience more enjoyable for both her and the viewers.

id say most people that watch haikyuu have a sense of whats realistically doable or not cause volleyball isn't actually that complex in ruling or plays and then there is the fact that people have common sense. I don't think anyone hates her but calling out everything just kinda kills the mood. The fact that she keeps calling those unrealistic bits out has nothing to do with her volleyball experience (especially cause haikyuu doesn't approach anything in such a complex manner that only an experienced player would understand) and more to do with her still not being used to the way anime worksin general.
@GUDZ12345

@@brunolopes2205 I agree, I think it's mostly obvious what's realistic and not. The "perspective we don't have" is moreso the actual experience of being a player, going through the motions and feelings, which is what I would look for in a reaction like this.

Hi! Okay so when you were talking how Hinata could just do a tip, line, straight, etc,etc he does learn those later on. I think that’s a big part of the show. correct. Hinata is quite honestly still a "noob" at this point in the story relative to most of the other characters. He is just innately athletic which is why he is a natural. Yeah, the voice acting competition and the directors are extremely hard there. They take it very serious and that’s why the voice acting is always really good compared to other countries. Plus they allow the Voice actors to take breaks from going all out like from a huge angry screaming, while like American voice actors don’t normally go all out because they can’t go out of work until their throat heals.

@@butterfloo8442 Yeah, the dub is actually great. They did a fantastic job of retaining the humour from the Japanese, while at the same time "westernizing" it.

Man when you get deeper in this series you will love it. Because as the characters develop, their volleyball gets better and the games get WAY more intense. Season 3 one game of 3 sets was like 20 episodes it seemed like

anime isnt ment to be realistic, thats why its animated
Just so we are clear here, Hinata has no experience in volleyball. He had no team to play with growing up in junior and these are his first serious steps into the sport. Even though he has incredible reflexes and speed, he still needs to learn a lot.
omgggg you managed to get the video up i'm so happy and glad you managed to get over the copyright issue I'm so excited to watch it yeey

I'm sorry KZread is such a pain about taking things down, it's taken trial and error for people to figure out what will and won't get caught but you're a trooper for working so hard to fix it, thanks for your reactions! Love the cozy vibes by the way. And I think you should do whatever's most comfortable for you language-wise. People insist on subs because dubs can change the tone, feeling of characters and sound a bit goofy, but it's understandable to have a hard time if you're not used to reading subtitles. You do get better and faster at it with a bit of time but I would understand for video purposes if you don't want that initial barrier :)

YAYYYY ITS HERE!!!!!!
Ughhhh this is the bessstttt cant wait till you are introduced to all of the characters and see all the matches. Season one is so special
I have to say that Haikyuu subs is the best dubs out of all of them! There are some incredible translations (like when Bokuto tries to pronounce sugas name. tsugibuwawawa) xDD
You are valid to call out the unrealisticness of sports anime: - The monologuing - The long talks in between plays - Hinata sprinting across the court and evening changing direction on a dime - The way they animated it to make it look like Kageyama is literally doubling every set (you'll see) But this is all part of the experience. Think of it as an epic retelling of their journeys as young volleyball playerssss lol
If you watch in dub but with this fast pace camera i think people don't really will care cause the voices can't be hear anyway, but if i have to recommend it watched in sub the voice acting is way better in the high points

@@victoriabrowne I actually don't mind it - it's more in line with other react videos and it takes the pressure off you to try and say something insightful about every single scene (when there often isn't anything). Plus we've all seen it before anyway, so we don't need to watch the whole episode ;) Also I'd definitely try to get onto the sub before the big tournament later in the season - they made some weird translation choices in the dub.

HAHA IM EARLY BY 8 MINUTES JDNWFIHFJENX Oh yeah here is a little list of the names of the characters in the episodes that you’ve seen but don’t know the names of. - Silver hair dude- Sugawara aka Suga. He is a setter and is vice captain. - Brown hair dude: Daichi. He is the captain. I think he is some sort of hitter as well - Dark green hair dude: Yamaguchi aka Yams. He is a pinch server. - Black hair dude that never gets screen time: Ennoshita. He is a wing spiker - Other somewhat bald dude who also doesn’t get screentime: Narita. He is a middle blocker. -Light brown hair dude who ALSO doesn’t get any screen time: Kinoshita. He is a wing spiker. -Navy blue haired girl: Kiyoko. She is the team manager. Also no, there isn’t any romance in the show except for everyone simping for Kiyoko. Lol

Kiyoko has black hair, not blue, and pinch server isn't an actual position that I know of. Yamaguchi's official position is middle blocker.
Let’s all take a moment to say... HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAGEYAMA!🍰🎂🎁
The "Ace" position of the team is the member they can rely on when they are in a though spot to score points or near the end of they game to wrap it up and not lose to a comeback trying things with others. It's usually their strongest player. thats the ace term they use in Haikyu
the more you watch this anime you’ll see all of these characters develop like every single one and you may not like some of them in the beginning but they’re really just human and they grow and this includes characters from other teams so have fun with that
Hey Victoria, I have been a recent fan of yours for a while and I have been loving everything you post. Thanks for all the positive things about body on TikTok! I am currently in middle school and I also play volleyball. I mainly play with girls because no other boy likes volleyball but I love and adore the sport. Thanks for being inspiring and a great role model!
if it’s easier for you to watch and understand in english don’t feel pressured to watch in japanese. i watch sub and it’s so much better but then again it’s not worth it if you don’t get the full story. we will appreciate anything you give us!! 💕💕

Teddy is an actual teddy bear so cute!! Also, you can react in dub. What matters is what you feel most comfortable watching!
I do like the set up. It feels like watching it with a friend.
I appreciate you working so hard to get this video out! I know the copyright stuff with this kind of content is a pain, but I really enjoy this series and I'm so happy you made it work. However you need to edit the video to get the reaction out works with me. Seeing your dog react to stuff like the ball noise was TOO CUTE!
