I think a HUGE player he missed out on is Vietnam. Ever since the end of the Vietnam war China and Vietnam have HATED each other. China sees Vietnam as a sort of Taiwan 2.0, with Indochina as a whole being an extension and dream of a Chinese Empire. Vietnam’s waters are also pressed on by China much like the Philippines, and despite obvious issues due to the past, Vietnam and the US have shown a sort of unspoken understanding of each other since. While the veterans I’m sure disagree, the US and Vietnamese governments and people have both recognized China as a threat and I doubt Vietnam would risk a Chinese victory over the US and a possible future invasion of Vietnam. If Vietnam opened itself to allow US troops to land for an invasion of China, either before or after the war starts, it would cripple China in a way no other possible attack could. All 3 nations understand that and although it puts Vietnam in a difficult position I think ultimately you’d see China’s defeat come from the South with Vietnam and India rather than an American invasion of the Chinese East Cost.

Vietnam have a Land Border with China. US thought about if Vietnam joins they will have to fight in 3 fronts Land, Sea and Air. US only wants to fight China in two fronts Air and Sea. Which is very good for the US. But US got the problem of Logistic thru the pacific and you will add another front for them to fight.

In your dreams that the Vietnam would trust the US to launch a war against China. Most of the Vietnam military equipment is Russian made. Putin just visited Vietnam and received a warm welcome. Vietnam imports electricity from China. China is Vietnam's biggest trade partner. Americans must live in dreams that others would fight for the US by sacrificing themselves. How much money would you send to Vietnam to let Vietnamese do such a favor for you? Would you transfer the most advanced technology to Vietnam or help them build infrastructures? Americans are so dumb.

48:00 I actually love HFY stories where aliens are largely peaceful. Then suddenly you have the heavily militarized human race start exploring the stars and coming into contact with these species. The aliens of course are weary of humans and kind of keep them at arms length. Then some extragalactical threat comes into play (think like the Yuuzhan Vong from Star Wars) and it’s up to humanity to fight off the threat while teaching the pacifist aliens how to fight again.

I really wish we could like force Americans to travel outside of North America and gain a bit more perspective because so many of us become so hyper-focused on domestic issues and don't even bother looking at the bigger picture. I believe a huge part of this divide is due too to the knock-on effects of obscene levels of economic inequality, but that's a different story for a different day.

We are the most powerful and influential nation in the world and yet our government is completely useless so long as we keep pointing fingers at each other. The only thing I’ll disagree with is the idea that China no longer needs outside support. Even still you see the Chinese fucking up their relations by stealing plane designs, their construction sectors falling apart, and their people still lack any sort of rights. China was a big threat back when the soviets were kicking because everyone sat at the same relative power, but they collapsed at the same time the soviets did. Sure their economy may be growing, but they fail to use it. Look at their navy for instance. Technically it outnumbers the US Navy, but that’s because they bought up hundreds of merchant vessels and container ships to place missiles on. Their Airforce is all Russian tech with minor modifications. I mean, take a look at their newest IFV, where it can’t even decided what it wants to be. Twin MGs sitting next to oil cans, right above where troops exit? China is the definition of a Paper Tiger.

I love the west, but this is just true. We have gotten used to thinking we are the only ones who deserve territorial integrity, and it is because we are fed bullshit by the media and financial elite who all have stakes in defence companies and contractors. I watch and enjoy tommys videos but seriously whoever has that same opinion about geopolitics is truly the reason why autocrats like putin even rise. I feel like tommy is a true sheep sometimes

As an American I would say we should send more help to Ukraine, but our current government is being wussy’s about it and allowing Russia to do what they please. They should be doing more, yet the democrats are riddling their thumbs and allowing tyranny to rise again, It’s just disgraceful.

I also agree that we need to be united again, the world really needs the old superpower back to stop this madness. I wish we had a president like Washington again, he said that if we made parties it would divide us and he was right. Sadly I don’t think we will ever get a non-party aliened president again.

Wdym the democrats are riddling their thumbs? Isn’t it Joe Biden that is a keen NATO supporter, and the Republican Party that chooses to stick to the outdated system of realism?

There hasn't been a video about politics and war for a long time. And then he started posting videos about the battle of homeless people in the east. Further about the clash between the USA and China. Where the fuck is the reaction video about Ukraine, he watched a lot of videos about Ukraine
