One of the BEST ROCK album!!!

I heard this song in Tulsa, Oklahoma about 1975, john Wetton on bass with a solo. Dr Hook was the opening band. they were hilarious.

Deep Purple and Pink Floyd noted for use of this and other massive organs that just have majesty electronic keyboards just don't. A third and fourth dimension added. Full natural resonance and unforced sustain are so sweet to hear.

Got into Rock courtesy of my elder brother when I was kid,he played Demon and wizards to death. Consequentially this became my favourite album ,and the first album I ever bought. I still love it all these years later, thank you for such a good musical education Dave.

I've seen so many comments saying 1972's Magician & Wizard are a cut above all their other albums & I have to agree. I( know the reason & Rainbow Demon was the song that made the penny drop. I was 14 in '72 & I managed to get acid for the 2nd time in my life. The came in a capsule of 10 trips & each one was a different colour. They were called Rainbows & were among the very best of the best acid I've had throughout life. I'm sure Heep give them a nod with this song. Phenomenally strong & pure. You can't make it better. I'm sure Heep give them a nod with this song. Just before operation Julia took the acid crew down the did the pyramids & cones too.

Talking of the books of Moorcock which I read profusely in my acid drenched teens always remind me of Hawkwind more than anything. He not only read poetry during Hawkwinds Space Ritual tour but Elric is featured on their album dedicated to 'The Chronical of The Black Sword'.
