Urbex | Untouched Abandoned Hotel - We returned years later! (100.000 Subscribers Special)

Urban Exploration: 100.000 Subscribers Special Episode (English and German subtitles are available!) Episode #150
In our 100.000 subscribers special episode, we return to places we were exploring years ago to see how they have changed over time. What has happened since we posted our videos about these sites in 2017? On a multi-day trip off the beaten track, we went back to the stunning Harz Mountains in Germany. Again, we are embarking on a journey through time in this sequel to one of our first urbex series “Abandoned Harz Hotels”. #urbex #abandonedplaces #bwturbex

We just reached the 100.000 subscribers milestone. You guys did this! Because of your views, comments, and likes, you made this channel and the videos possible. To be honest, compared to other urbex channels it took us quite some time to get here. But since it was a journey of four and a half years, you can clearly see a development in our episodes. It all started with some short cinematics, and today, we upload complex urbex documentaries. But without your support, it obviously would not be possible in the first place. So, thank you for following what we do and supporting what we love. Also, special thanks to our supporters over on Patreon who fund the content with their kind donations!

Hi Broken Window Theory! I wanted to say I remember the 1st place from the proper people & it's sad to see it gone but at least u all have documented it so it isn't lost forever 🙂 also I started following u because of the proper people. Its so sad to see the places gone or damaged but I'm so happy that u guys have documented these places before anything did happen 😊 at 14:30 that hotel is sad but always remember u were 1 of the 1st there & u will always have the video as proof of what it once was ☺ well at least 1 of ur revisits turned out to be save & will have a new life so that is great news.its better then the 1st that was demolished. Thank u for such a great video & I hope 1 day u will collaborate with proper people again 🧡💛💚💙

The revisits were very interesting and I know it was thought-provoking for you guys. The vandalism you came across could simply have been a matter of time before somebody discovered these things all on their own. I have a favorite house I visited in December. I went back recently and there was graffiti on the walls, even though, I shared with no one and went alone. I know you do your best to protect the places you visit. I look forward to your next videos. I appreciate you guys and all you do!🤗

Someone else commented it & I agree- these folks are the National Geographic of Urbex! It’s true!!! These videos are just in another universe with even the biggest channels!! The humble & respectful approach to document & record the history, the backstory to the places & things, the artistic quality of the photography & videography - it’s just incredible!!!! Each video is a delight! It feels almost like actually being there in person & I always learn something interesting!! KUDOS! This is pretty much the only Urbex channel I can stand to watch, if I do watch any videos on other channels I have to mute the volume & fast forward through a lot. Their juvenile approach to the entire project, the inappropriate music, the way they have to handle, poke, prod & move objects, the commotion between the explorers, their ignorance as to the history of the places & things, their disregard of dangerous situations like black mold etc is just beyond annoying & makes it just impossible for me to enjoy looking at the places filmed. This channel has NONE of those issues - AT ALL!!! There’s just absolutely no comparison to be perfectly honest! 👏👏👏👏

Continue documenting and sharing. These places don't need (even indelicate) urbexers to go downfall and even disappear. I think about the Miranda Castle in Belgium that they scraped because of this fungus eating the stone; the destruction had nothing to do with urbexers and could hardly be avoided, and we are glad that people like you (or me) documented the place to be able to see how beautiful and crazy it was. Nothing is staying still in this world, everything is permanently changing.

To quote what you said in the video "No new vandalism, only natural decay." Imagine how amazing it would be if all abandoned places were like this? Congratulations on reaching 100K, you have certainly earned it, and I have been along for a good part of your journey. Watching you hone your skills has been a pleasure. I think, besides the fact that Nature always wins, this journey shows that you can never quite go back. Time, people, animals and weather subtly change everything. Everyone sees a different thing when they come upon an abandoned place...and not everyone can pass through and leave no trace of their visit. I have come to believe that one or two will see a place pristine and untouched, after that, as traffic increases so does the kind of destruction and decay. Things are rarely quite as we remember then, and this was a beautiful reminder of that.🖤🇨🇦

Wow! I enjoyed watching this episode. Great to see four different ways that urbex locations “age”. Yes, it’s a hard place to be in trying to keep locations secretive. For those people that destroy the places- it’s my belief that even if you don’t leave clues- it will be found out eventually. If you leave general clues- maybe it will be harder for them to figure it out. I appreciate your time and energy in giving us the full picture of what you explore. Well done and congrats on the 100k!

Congratulations on 100,000 subscribers! You're the best Urbex I've seen so you should have 1 million subscribers. I'm always checking BWT with the hope you've posted a new exploration. Today I got my wish so thanks for that. I'm looking forward to Italy's trip- looks amazing. Unfortunately with other explorers not respecting abandoned buildings like you guys do is a double-edged sword. So maybe a website, book etc...hmmm. 👍 I guess I've got to have patience now until August lol.

I thinking keeping a location secret is best sad but true to protect these wonderful places from vandalism let them decay naturally . I hate to see the people trashing and stealing from theses wonderful places . Thank you for all you do !!😁 I love your work you don't just explore you tell a story from the past with pictures and words and for that I Thank you !!👍👍👏👏

Congratulations on the 100k. Great episode. The Harz mountains are beautiful. I loved that you went back to those Hotels and it was so nice to see one being renovated. I smiled when i saw the leaning cupboards and didn't stop. The cobwebs on the frying pans and the good choice of music. Can't wait to see you in Italy . Fantastic and thankyou
