Exploring Abandoned Vulture House
This small home built sometime in the 1800s has been vacant for about 10 years. It is in very rough shape and sits next to a major roadway. Right next door to it is another vacant house as you will see in this video. It is called the Abandoned Vulture house as vultures live in the attic. Of course they were not there when I shot the video. Anyway, the reason why this house is abandoned is b/c the land and the home were bought out by a developer. The developer plans to level it, but nothing has happened since then. A homeless guy lived in these houses until he was removed from reports of smoke coming out of the chimney. It is for sure a small house, but still unique. Hope you all Enjoy

    +Abandoned Steve what I love most about your videos over others that I've seen, is less talking. You give us a bit some insights about the homes then you do your walk through, exploring all aspects. I personally prefer to watch vs listening to a lot of talk throughout the entire. Keep em coming Steve ☺

    Cool explore . This house had age to it for sure . Aside from being a mess and lots of peeling paint I think the house could be saved . The original window was in good shape for age . Sometimes they get replaced after 50 years .

    If the house is water damgaged from that then I guess its another tear down .The roof looked very clean as seen from the attic .There are plenty of homes like this one stlll around so its not as bad as it seems but always hard to swallow .When A older home is being demolished I cant look at it .

    At the beginning, right when you said "...a homeless person used to live in both of these houses...", the video showed the house and a dog house. This struck me as rather humorous. (No offense intended to the homeless). Interesting video, as usual.

    It's unfortunate what happens to property after developers buy them, from the looks of it these haven't been nice properties in quite some time. But when developers take over fairly nice properties that are still being occupied it's such a waste.

    I think I know where this is, in the Philadelphia suburbs outside of Media.i used to live in that area and I recognize this place. Used to drive by it a lot until I moved down south in 2017. It gave me the creeps back then with the vultures hanging out in the roof. It is a total wreck. I hope they tear it down. I couldn't imagine fixing it up and living there anyway with all that traffic on that busy road

  • @newjerseybill3521

    @newjerseybill3521

    Back in the day when tall growth was plentiful, the wall studs went from the basement / foundation right up to the attic. With this construction the void space between the outer wall and the inner was continuous. If a fire started in the basement these void spaces acted like a bunch of chimneys taking the fire from the basement right into the attic. It wasn't unusual to arrive at a basement fire and while you where knocking it down suddenly flames would be ":through the roof".

    +Joluvslilhorses The framing went up the entire height of the house, rather than stopping at each floor. The framing essentially created a balloon around the house.

    This house is just a shell of what it once was. Definitely a candidate for demolition. I can only imagine what it looked like when newly built. But now years of neglect brings us to this end result. Steve you are a very brave man to directly go into some of these homes you explore. I can imagine the dead smell of mold and decay in this one. Do you like wear a face mask or something of a sort when entering these abandoned homes? After all, you never know what to expect.

I've been fascinated with them my whole life but I'm always too scared to try and enter. Although I want to very badly. What's your secret?

    Has he ever came across anything spooky or creepy sounds or even something lurking around while doing one of these videos? I know he's not gonna put on a show or act like 90% of those types of videos do (explore something abandoned, hear shit, sees a thing, says oh shit, runs out shakey camera and all... In that order) but I'm just curious if Stevens ever come across anything unexpected (sounds, people, twisted objects, etc) thank you and have a lovely day! ^_^
