Upside Down Make Up Fail 😂 Zero Waste Fancy Dress

Here's my dilemma
I very much believe in being
- zero waste
- plastic free
- vegan
- animal testing free
- palm oil free
- mica free
- minimalist
- and all that other planet saving good stuff
I also LOVE fancy dress ((aka costumes, for the Americans))
But the only way I know how to do it is in a very plastic-y way. Plastic based face paints sold in plastic containers, plastic costumes, plastic wigs. Plastic galore.
So this is a whole new world for me. I don't want to give it up all together. So instead I'm trying to figure out the most ethical way of doing it.
My first attempt at an upside down face was... a fail.
My it's the first of many, I'll figure it out!
Notes to my future self...
- Do LOADS of glue & powder layers. Like 7 per eyebrow.
- Put extra on the eyebrow hairs that go straight up
- Do NOT mix the tumeric into a paste, dab it onto wet glue, then add more glue & powder layers on top to lock it in
- Try mixing foundation into the flour dough to match it with your skin tone before applying it
- Lightly dap contour onto the nose with your finger, inc. darker inside the nostrils

You could also wear a facemask and glue/sow an upside down wig/hair cut-out or hat to it. For me, that prob. will be a little more comfortable than my hair in my mouth xD
