Updated 2025 Hyundai Tucson // Big changes for a facelift!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This is a Motormouth couple car review of the updated 2025 Hyjundai Tucson compact SUV. Hyundai unveiled the 2025 HyundaiTucson at the New York Auto Show.
The biggest changes for the 2025 HyundaiTucson come to the interior with a new infotainment system, buttons are back, the dash has been redesigned, there’s a new centre console with a wireless charging pad and a parcel shelf on the front passenger side has been added to store small items. The 2025 HyundaiTucson gas model has a traditional shifter, the hybrid and plug-in hybrid models have a new column shifter. A newly designed steering wheel has been added, an available 12.3” digital driver display and a standard 12.3” touchscreen screen with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto. Over the air updates are also available.
The exterior of the 2025 HyundaiTucson has been tweaked with a new grille, front and rear bumper and a new trim called the XRT, it has more of an outdoor focused design.
The powertrains are carried over from the previous model but the hybrid and PHEV get a slight boost in power, 5 extra horsepower for the hybrid and 7 horsepower for the plug-in hybrid.
The 2025 HyundaiTucson gas model has a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission, 187 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque.
The Hybrid 2025 HyundaiTucson gets a 1.6L turbocharged hybrid powertrain paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission, a combined 231 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque.
The plug-in 2025 HyundaiTucson hybrid has the same 1.6L turbo as the hybrid with a combined 268 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, 53 km/33 miles of EV range. Both the hybrid and PHEV are AWD models.
The Tucson gas model will hit dealerships in June and the plug-in hybrid and hybrid late summer.

I just bought the 2024 Phev and I'm lovin it. I'm having fun . After using my homes 110 outlet to charge it @ 11 hours for a full charge ,I now have 220 charger and it only takes under two hours to charge using my solar system. Enphase inverters with Enphase charger. The best is my first tank of gas 67MPG and second 61.4.... I charge every day and drive to get the best mileage . It has plenty of power without using the turbo in sport mode.

Great review guys!! I like it. I was hung up on the old dash and had ordered a Sportage because of it, but it takes forever plus a day to get one so I talked myself into ordering a Tucson. I like the look of this newer version and will take either a 2024 or 2025 which ever the dealer is able to get. BTW Does the 2025 PHEV Ultimate have the panoramic roof?

People are still buying more Toyota's than Hyundai's, and Toyota is the top-selling brand in the world. Why would they increase their investment in design elements when they can cut that cost and make more money? I always tell people that Toyota's are secretly expensive because you get less for what you pay compared to most other brands.

I am surprised they went with two different interiors for the gas/electrified models - and especially that in the gas model they went with the Santa Cruz shifter and moved away from the push button setup they Tucson had before. I thought you were filming in the Santa Cruz for a minute there! It's a nice mid-cycle refresh. I'm still hooked on the new Santa Fe though ..

Great review of the car! You guys really know the details of a brand new car as if it's been around for a while! On paper the Hyundai and Kia products have so much value for the money and the interiors and tech are really on the top of the segment. But if they would just pump the brakes on the features and tech while improving the reliability and especially the dealer service capabilities, I think they may be able to give Toyota or Honda a good run for the money. But the more of these they sell, the more issues they have with keeping the service departments staffed and up to speed. Thanks for the video!

Hyundai and Kia are nailing it when it comes to offering hybrid, PHEV and EV power trains, but their designs and constant refreshes are too much. Even my Favourite Hyundai design, the Ioniq 5, is a nice design but way too busy. It’s like nobody wanted to stop. And now it’s already getting redesigned for 2025. At least the N line version is cleaning up the 2 tone and other elements but then added those fake vents on the rear. They need to hire a German design referee to tell them enough. 😂

Anecdotal samples of a single person isn't some sort of unreputable evidence that all panoramic sunroofs explode. If you think because it happened to you, it happens to all, I can use my example of having TWO TUCSONS IN A ROW with Panoramic sunroofs and NEITHER ever had a single problem, ever. Does that mean that 100% of all panoramic sunroofs will never have a problem? It's like airplane disasters... someone might have a plane crash on them then declare all airline travel is unsafe. I am sorry it happened to you... but that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with having a panoramic sunroof... I love mine!

Toyota announced Wednesday it is recalling nearly 280,000 Toyota Tundra, Sequoia and Lexus LX 600 vehicles because of a transmission problem that can result in cars rolling forward while in neutral. The recall impacts some 2022 Toyota Tundra pickups and Lexus LX 600 SUVs, as well as 2023 and 2024 Toyota Sequoia SUVs, according to the Associated Press. The issue involves certain parts of the transmission not immediately disengaging when a vehicle is shifted to neutral, which can result in engine power being transferred to wheels and a vehicle creeping forward at low speed when on a flat surface. The problem leads “to an increased risk of a crash,” according to Toyota. Toyota and Lexus dealers will update the software for the transmission for free, according to a statement. Toyota didn’t immediately respond to Forbes’ request for comment. TANGENT Honda had 6.3 million vehicles potentially affected by recalls last year, according to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration data, followed by Ford (6.1 million) and Kia (3.1 million). Toyota recalls potentially affected 4.2 million vehicles last year, according to NHTSA data, with much of the figure coming from a one million-vehicle recall in late December that sought to address an electrical issue that could prevent airbags from working. Soooooooo Toyota is not better than KIA and Hyundai they have problems too like all other brands so stopped Toyota🐑s

I owned the 1st gen Tucson 2006 until 2018. It was a true 'sub-compact' SUV with fold flat front passenger seat and powerful V6 engine and AWD. Since then the Tucson has not appealed to me for the following reasons. - Price has been creepy up and now even more expensive than Japanese competition. - 'Funky' exterior. The previous version was more pleasing to more people. - Width at 1,865 mm (73.4 in), It won't fit in some garages. -19inch wheels. Some will have difficulties trying to change/carry the tires.

TOKYO (AP) - A Japanese automaker that cheated on safety tests for decades said Monday it doesn’t expect to resume shipping cars any time soon. The Japanese government ordered a subsidiary of Toyota to halt production of its entire lineup after reports of faked safety test results emerged last year. The Daihatsu Motor Co. skipped mandatory safety tests by copying data from testing on one side of cars to the other, and used timers to ensure airbags went off in tests, a review found. No major accidents have been reported in connection with the cheating, but the news has raised serious questions about oversight at Daihatsu, as well as its corporate parent Toyota. Japanese regulators approved five of the company’s models on Friday after more testing, but Daihatsu executives said its factories will remain shuttered as it waits on suppliers.
