I bought the SEL with convenience package and absolutely love it. I think it’s the perfect amount of features. I agree with you, I prefer having an actual gear shift rather than the button shift. At first I didn’t think I could get behind the exterior styling either but it really grew on me. I have the dark gray color and it’s very beautiful color. It looks almost blue in certain light. I looked at other small SUVs and what made me choose the Tucson were the interior features and driving assist features. It also has smart cruise control which is great for road trips.

I purchased a 2024 Tucson Limited in Portifino gray with black leather interior. Color looks great with Tucson body style. Vehicle is loaded with safety features & is so comfortable to drive.

Sat in an SEL at the dealership, and it was okay. Sat in a Limited and OMG I NEED THIS CAR IN MY LIFE. Honestly, name badging means less to me than a comfortable reliable vehicle. I have owned my 2022 Limited for 2 years now. It still drives like the day we bought it. Great car.

I was shocked by how comfortable the seat and the headrest was on this car. I have driven lot of car including S Class but this has the number 1 seat and the headrest.

I have a 2019 Tucson and still in love with it. Hyundai makes a great vehicle.

I am getting the SEL/conv package. I am waiting for it to be delivered to the dealership. Love this video wish I found it sooner. I did a test drive and it rides nice and smooth. Getting the black on black and it also includes the All Season Fitted Liners for when it get wet and muddy out. Not sure if that is standard on all models or dealers. Can't wait. Only a few more days for my Hyun Yea

I mainly listen to fm radio or usb/tf card for music. My Tucson Limited has integrated navigation, was built August 3, 2024. Likely mine has wired card play. Hyundai is doing updates to software so likely mine will be wireless car play soon. @@reactoranime

you did a fantastic review. You didn't say"um" or "ah" at all. I have a 24 Tuecon N Line I got in January and i'm happy with it. I also have a Genesis GV80 Prestige Signature and the ride is comparable . The GV80 has a lot of horsepower so thats the difference between the two. But your review is great . good Job

Many people, including myself feel that this current version has a superior interior design compared to the upcoming refresh. The added tech is nice, but that’s it. Very generic/bland otherwise. On the other hand, While I enjoy the current grill, the refresh front facia/grill is a home run.

Nice review, there is a new 2025 model released in korea , they changed the dashboard, and added a bookshelf on the dashboard , the front also looks slightly different , in honesty the 2022 version looks better than the 2025 model, It still has the same jerky dry dual clutch transmission

Transmissions are specific to markets. NOT A SINGLE TUCSON IN AMERICA since the 2022 model has a dual clutch... not one... Korea has different engines and Transmissions. The 2025 Tucson in America will almost certainly continue the current trend of an automatic transmission.

I test drove the Tuscon recently. Honestly, Hyundai needs to step up its game. Even though it has a 2.5 L engine, the car felt underpowered. Not sure if thats due to the 8 speed shift (automatic) OR something else. The car made a lot of engine noise while at 2500-3000 rpm. Flooring the peddle, vehicle was very slow to acclerate, however, once at the spped achieved, it was smooth. The suspension felt smooth and turning was decent.

Honestly, you need to step up your reviews. The Tucson comes with THREE different drive trains, you tested the lowest drive train only then passed judgment on the entire line up. The cheapest 2.5L NA is designed for grandma's and soccer moms. If you step up from the lowest power train, you have the HEV or PHEV, both of which feature the proven 1.6L Turbo engine with 6-speed automatic transmission tied to an electric motor which combined offers 50hp+ and more over the base engine, plus that electric instant acceleration. I own a 2023 Tucson Hybrid and it MOVES! It blows away the bottom drive train 2.5L NA and leaves it in the dust. Before you write negative reviews and tell companies to step up thier game, perhaps you should step up yours first and review something besides the slowest engine offered. Hyundai already has an answer for people who love the Tucson but also want power under the hood.. it's there, you just have to drive it.

If you don't like slow acceleration, get a better engine, there are options out there... TEST DRIVE before you buy. Also, don't fall for internet meme's like "all Toyotas are great, super reliable and never break down"... 5 seconds of research will show you two things: 1) You pay more for less with Toyota 2) Toyota and General Motors are telling the owners of about 61,000 older Corolla, Matrix, RAV4 and Pontiac Vibe models to stop driving them because their Takata air bag inflators are at risk of exploding and hurling shrapnel in their face. Ya, that's right, massive recall for exploding shrapnel in your face... I bet your "Korean car" has never done that to you... watch out before your "Japanese car" showers you in shrapnel. Do some research before you buy, you sound like you're homing-in on ever rumor on the internet, do solid research... don't buy based on "well all Toyotas are super reliable"... not true... also not true "all Korean cars suck"... do your research, some Toyotas shower you in shrapnel and some Korean cars have shitty engines... i've had two Hyundai cars in a row, and NEITHER had any engine issues at all... in fact, loved them both... but I also didn't buy the cheapest engine trim available to save a buck... you get what you pay for (unless it's Toyota, then you don't get what you pay for, since they mostly just sell to people that think the name badge is more important than what's under the hood). Sit in MY TUCSON 2023 Hybrid... that I did research on before buying... it has TONS of power, TONS of torque... I take off at stop lights like a race car and spend about $30/month on gas in my Hybrid, engine is quiet as can be, everyone who has been in it or drove it loves it... You have a YOU experience because YOU didn't do any research (or apparently no test driving) before you bought it... you wanted to save a buck, bought the slowest, lowest engine you could, now want to complain it sucks... just because you didn't do your homework doesn't mean it's Hyundai's fault... that's on YOU. Every car manufacturer makes cheap cars and good cars... you chose the former, I chose the latter. You hate Hyundai because you did zero research, I love Hyundai because I knew not to buy the engine you did. More research, better car, different result... see how that works? Pro tip... look at Horsepower, torque and 0 to 60 numbers before you buy a car if engine performance is important to you... once again BEFORE you buy a car... those numbers were all out there before you bought your car, you could have test drove it, you have no-one to blame but yourself. Be careful of flying shrapnel since you want to go Japanese.

I’d still have the risk of going back to my car with windows smashed and what not, and just didn’t want to deal with that. I went with a forester ultimately.

Hey there, this is the 2024 Tucson in the United States. The 2025 Tucson has been announced and does have refreshed styling, but that will be coming later this year for the 25 model year. I believe in other parts of the world, such as South Korea, their 2024 Tucson is the refreshed model, but in the US, we won’t see that until the 2025 Tucson. Thanks for watching and commenting!

What's the difference between a Push Button Start and a Push Button Gear Shifter? Answer: Nothing ❤!!

I am kicking myself for buying my second new Hyundai in six years. First was the 2018 Elantra and it was good for what I paid. Next I bought the 2020 Tucson SEL and that’s where my opinion changed. Only has 23,000 miles, mostly from two big trips. I have babied my vehicle. Very sluggish, terrible gas mileage, wouldn’t start at 4,000 miles due to dead battery even though nothing was left on, gear shift cable for automatic transmission snapped at 20,000 miles and had to be towed. Hyundai took three weeks fixing it and wouldn’t give me a loaner. Nice. Once in a while acts like it doesn’t want to start, but always does. That’s some mysterious issue. Warranty doesn’t transfer to new owner. That sucks. Overall zero confidence in the vehicle. Thankfully mine was made in Korea and not Mexico; I can’t imagine how many more problems I could have if made in Mexico. Hyundai as a company took TERRIBLE care of me anytime there was an issue and as a result, I will NEVER buy Hyundai again. Honestly, don’t know why I ever did in the first place, except that I guess I thought they were good cars. Won’t be making that mistake ever again. Only Toyota from here on out. Selling it soon and wiping my hands of Hyundai permanently. They really ticked me off.

Yeah the push button gear shift buttons is a trend that should stop. You have to think to use it and will never get used to it. It is dangerous to operate.

How is it dangerous? I wasn't a huge fan of it at first, but I've gotten used to it, and it doesn't bother me after a year of use. As for trends, Hyundai has already abandoned this version... the 2025 Tucson has a digital column gear shifter like the Ioniq5 has. (The 2025 Tucson is already out in Korea).

Expensive. Tucson used to be affordable

Hey there, thanks for the thoughtful comment. When we use years, we're referring to model years. The 2022 Tucson, released (and reviewed by us) in 2021 was the first year of the fully redesigned fourth generation. This is the 2024 model that was filmed at the end of 2023. The 2025 Tucson was recently previewed for the European market as a mild mid-cycle refresh to be released in 2024, and the U.S. will likely see a similar refresh. So no, we didn't miss a new model, and rest assured, when the 2025 model is released, we'll review it as soon as we're able.
