@@Aiveq that could be true but my doctor told me this since he considered my ethnicity, the area I live, weight/health, and my genetics. Alot of people can have infertility problems due to hormonal issues not just hereditary problems past down to them, people with PCOS like my self actually was able to reverse the effects which allowed them to be able to conceive a child even though "PCOS" it will forever lie dormant in your body(in other words it can always come back if you're not careful). SirPaladin I think it’s hardest competition is Coco. 😳 As if the theme alone in that one wasn’t enough, I feel like Up has at least a few more moments of levity than that one...(but my word I love both.)
My favorite detail in the credits is seeing Alpha and the other dogs helping out the elderly in an elderly home TwT proves that there are no bad dogs but bad owners

From Wikipedia: Much of the story of 2009 Pixar-Disney film Up takes place among the tepuis. The film also includes depictions of the numerous rock formations and an Angel Falls-like waterfall called "Paradise Falls". And yes, those places look beautiful.

2:50 "Ahh not the Music! It sounds sad." This is actually one of the main reasons why the beginning (and actually when ever I hear this theme) is so sad. As far as I know, this exact moment is the first time we hear this theme. In this exact moment, they two just became friends.
I remember when my mom and I saw this in theaters there were like 20 frat boys in the theater with us and they were making obnoxious commentary throughout the entire film and it was bothering my mom a lot. But then at the very end when the clouds clear and you see the house there they all stood up and cheered like they were at a sports game. It was actually really cute lmfao

To anyone who was curious who Phyllis is, She's Russell's father's girlfriend. Russell doesn't like her because every time he ask for hes dad Phyllis always says he's busy. Oh she also never made a appearance on up only mentioned by Russell, so I believe the woman at the end was Russell's mom

Dug is one of the best and movie dogs ever IMO. And this film, especially the opening is one of the most wholesome openings ever as well.
Here''s what I have always wondered about this movie. Near the end, Carl is sitting in his house at the waterfall and he's looking through Ellie's scrapbook. And at the end of it, he finds she has included pictures of their life together. A lot of these memories they captured look like very sweet, intimate moments of the two of them.....but WHO took the photos?

When you don't know what to say when your early- ❤️
This is the only Disney/Pixar movie to make me cry...the opening scene, when Carl looks at the photos of his life with Ellie, and the last scene showing the house landed by the waterfall
2:50 it is that easy to make friends, we just forget how as we grow older.
14:22 she paused too im deaddd nah but like i did the same thing everytime they said “squirrel”
The first part always makes me cry...it hits different when my mom passed...
"it's like america, but south!" My favorite line in this whole movie
This movie makes the courteous choice of getting the saddest part out of the way 10 minutes in, but damn that part is really sad.
Everyone talks about the first 10 minutes and they’re obviously heartbreaking but nothing in the movie gives me a more horrible feeling than the part where Carl accidentally hits the man on the head, like the feeling of guilt actually distressed me when I was a kid and it still makes me rlly uncomfortable
Kevin reminds me of one of my pet birds who passed, she would lay eggs and even though they weren't fertilized by her boyfriend bird who i still have, she would still sit on them trying to get them to hatch.
The way to not get all bone crackly in the morning is good joint health. Which means a good diet (get your vitamins) and exercise. When you start getting lazy, that's when your body starts to break down around the 30 year mark. I stopped doing my yoga and cardio since covid times and i pulled a muscle washing my hair the other day. Cellular regeneration starts breaking down around 30 years old, which just means your cells get sloppy about replacing themselves.
Never thought I would be this early.
With the references you made during this movie, I think you would really love The Chronicles of Narnia. Plenty of magic and adventure.
I gotta agree with you on those best pixar villains- De La Cruz was hella a surprise when I found out he was a goddamn murderer-

It's between this and Incredibles for my favorite Pixar movie... and it's probably this one, because it's a tougher watch, really. Like, if that opening and a few points in the middle don't choke you up a bit, you might be dead inside. But, also all the heartwarming moments that pay it off at the end make the tears worth it. And, y'know... Doug.

Thanks, Lakia! 🎈 I love this one. Indeed, it tugs at the heartstrings. But that's good... it reminds us we have feelings! The world could use more emotional connection. 🔗

You have kids so you don't be alone when older. Sad truth is, I work in a carework type setting, we see a lot of elderly residents who don't hear from their kids or grandkids at all, for months, for years, who want nothing to do with them. Especially once the relative has dementia.
