My old animation teacher actually worked on the spin off series for this! He's still bitter to this day that it got cancelled, apparently it was going to elaborate on the world, the technology, and Milo and Kida's relationship

@@stephsoohall6841 Sadly they pitched the pilot (i guess you could call it) as a sequel. It was a batch of mini adventures squished together into movie length. It's not really bad, per se, but it wasn't really what people were expecting and didn't really get any steam. It's too bad. I actually would've enjoyed an Atlantis tv series, but what can ya do?

I love that they don't kiss just hug. It is not disneys' normal move but it fits better.

Who gonna tell her Michael J Fox ( aka Marty McFly) is Milo's voice and Cree Summer (aka Susie Carmichael) is Kida's voice? 🥰

Jim Varney passed away on February 12, 2000, at age 50 due to lung cancer from smoking, before the production ended, and the film was dedicated to his memory. Producer Don Hahn was saddened that Varney never saw the finished film, but mentioned that he was shown clips of his character's performance during his site sessions and said, "He loved it." Shawn Keller, supervising animator for Cookie, stated, "It was kind of a sad fact that he knew that he was not going to be able to see this film before he passed away. He did a bang-up job doing the voice work, knowing the fact that he was never gonna see his last performance.

Atlantis is probably my favorite underrated/forgotten Disney movie

You DO know the voice actor for Milo, it is Michael J. Fox, he is the teenage male main character that plays Marty from the “Back To The Future” series ❤️

This is such a good film! I love all the characters both in design and personality, the princess of the film is a badass and her romance with Milo takes time and development which is SO REFRESHING FOR DISNEY!!!! Plus the animation is great 10/10 movie 👏👏👏

Atlantis The Lost Empire is like a combination of Indiana Jones and 20000 Leagues Under The Sea.

That’s exactly what I have in my mind.

There's actual theories on if atlantis is real and where it would be located on the earth, one theory i watched that blew my mind (i'm talking existential crisis), explained how the location of atlantis would be the eye of the sahara (aka Richat Structure) and the evidence they provided for this claim was actually quite legit. I watched a couple years ago.

I watched the video on that theory as well. The guy has his facts laid out perfectly. Not sure if anyone is going to fund a full-on exploration of the Eye, but I'm hoping someday they would.

Oh yeah, the Aquaman movie sort of made reference to it. With one of the 7 kingdoms of Atlantis the deserters going extinct when the ocean there city was located at had dried up into the Sahara.

Suggestion: The Road to El Dorado from DreamWorks! It's so underrated

Luckily, I watched Atlantis, when I was 4 years old.

The Atlantean king/chief was Leonard Nimoy aka SPOCK!

I’m still shocked Cree Summer, the voice of Susie from Rugrats, was the princess of this movie! She is an absolute queen!

Atlantis, Treasure Planet & Dinosaur are Disney’s best movies. Not only the animation, soundtracks but also the stories. New Disney movies can’t even compare.

Is this a bad time to point out it's never been proven that P.T. Barnum ever actually said "There's a sucker born every minute" - I first heard that from the movie of 'Matilda' when Mr Wormwood said "There's a sucker born every minute and we gotta take 'em for everything they got'. Personally the mercenary storyline makes me think of this line from the third Alex Rider book, Skeelton Key, where Sarov, a general from the USSR who left when the wall came down is showing the main character 14-year-old British spy Alex Rider (he was forced to take the job) the remains of the sugar plantation where he now lives in Cuba and shows him the slave quarters from then and tells him about the punishments used, asking him if he could imaging being fastened by his ankles unable to move while starving and thirsty for weeks. Alex understandably says: "I don't want to imagine it." And the general says: "Of course not. The Western World prefers to forget the crimes that made it rich." ' That line always stuck with me for some reason.

I feel that any of the disney movies that involve intellect like this one and treasure planet go under the radar because kids are not at that level to comprehend the advanced language and abstract concepts. They may enjoy the visuals but may not comprehend the overall story and message. Young kids, i mean.

As someone who has to visit the chiropractor once in a while to get my neck put back into place...yes...yes it feels so much better. xD But seriously, this is such a great movie and Kida is a princess who deserves to be more known and recognized. Also, who doesn't love a cute dork like Milo, not to mention with his help, Kida will be able to bring back her people's ancient knowledge. And finally....gotta love the other characters to. The doc, Vinny, even Mole. xD

Ok but I absolutely love how your room is decorated! Great video as always 🙏🏿

This movie is so god damn good, it has everything you’d want: strong female characters, it moved quite fast so it doesn’t get boring or feels like it’s dragging and it’s generally just very interesting

Saw this when it came out in theaters as a kid when I visited my grandparents with my little sister. My grandma was tickled by how big our eyes were the whole time XD my grandpa took that opportunity to nap. He said the theater chairs were comfortable.

This movie was a great and a great reaction video. When I see the word "Atlantis," I somehow always think of the movie Aquaman lol.

The King back in the year 1000 was experimenting with fusion bombs.

@@hillaryheath220 mess with it would be to make a new animated remake. I want to see a live version because of what cgi/3d etc can do today. So if story is translated smart, roles given to right actors it could be freaking epic! & I mean, Danny Devito as Mole, Hello!!! Thats why lol :)

well Lion king wasnt a live action, live action means having real people in it, it was a 3d animated movie. Besides, I wrote, ONLY one I want, meaning I didnt want any other so I cant answer for why other people cant leave it alone lol :)
