thanks the hdmi appear to carry a 4k 12bit 4.4.4 signal at 60hz at 15metres distance which is above their rated 18gbs spec. Cheaper now than when I got them as well by about half

You’re sick and obsessed, Terry, and I love it! At the end of this vid, I was thinking, what’s he gonna do when the system is finished with nothing left to do? You luckily mentioned that there’s always something more to do or tweak. Lol Btw, I like the single red rose on your amplifier. Not sure what it means, but it’s suiting nonetheless...

This is brilliant work Terry! Are you using AVR850’s pre amp for your hifi listening as well as the home cinema or are the two systems completely separate? If not how do you use the same power amp (front L&R) for both systems? Cheers 👍👍

Fantastic set-up Terry. That looked like a labour of love putting all the various components together whilst also avoiding a costly divorce! Great stuff. I'm sure it all sounds superb! p.s. I think the total cost of your cables are worth more than my current hifi :D

Hi John I dont think I have but I always thought it would be a good product and I was tring to geta friend of mine to take a look at one a while back because of Dirac etc and the ability to use it for tv / movies too. I have the current equivalent the SA30 here I bought one but I havent really had much time to use it yet so its still in the box. I will get to it eventually :)

Kanga Empire Hey, came across your comment. I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out which int amp to buy where I can still use my home theater and have looked into Anthem STR. Can you tell me your experience with it? I would love to buy that.

@@savanpanchal451 ..aside from building them by hand, they are solid performers. As with all kinds of equipment, they do what they are designed to do perfectly. What sort of configuration are you looking to set up?. There may be a chart or diagram online for the possible system wiring for the STR series. Typically, the bypass works for front mains and subwoofer channels. (Meaning signal will pass through to additional external amps while a separate Multichannel HomeTheater processor is active) I dont own the unit - never used in a system.. only built and bench tested.

Kanga Empire thanks for quick reply. I have 5 speaker HT set up in my living room with Qacoustics 3050 towers and I have 7.2.2 atmos set up in basement using Klipsch rp8000 towers. Would like to incorporate int amp in either and use it for music 2 channel listening. So many int options from rotel, nad, arcam, cambridge audio below 3k, anthem str around 3-4k, and then hegel, mcintosh around 4-5k.

@@savanpanchal451 - The STR will give you world class ARC room correction in the box. (a very good value for fine tuning your 2 channel system in the same space as your theater gear) - That's a huge benefit. My best unbiased advice is .. try to get a demo of the system. How the OSD works for you, the remote controll ability, the connectivity or the INT.. Make sure the unit you get DOES what you wan & need. The price is only worth it IF the unit does what you want.. OR does more & you can grow into it. From what I know, there are some great discounts for the Anthem gear recently. Take a look on the webpage for local dealers and deals happening. I can 100% say STR is great. ( I can't speak for the rest as I am not a review person or demo savvy - just a humble Audiophile labourer)

@@Lukey.D. Thank you. That's what I wanted to hear. Because these Monitor Audio Silvers can sound bright, with the wrong Amplifier, so that's why I'm after the Yamaha a-s2100. Because of the smooth warm sound, to go with my Monitor's. Perfect match. What's the phono stage like on the Amp? I've read it's good! How much is that Streamer you've got aswel? I was gonna get those Silver 300s first, but my living room might've been to small, but I'm happy with the 200s. Thanks for replying. 👍

What a real waist of money on power cables. You spend that much on cable from the consumer unit to the outlet? Could build just as good cable at a fraction of the price and something you could definitely not tell the difference to.
