Not to interrupt the unnecessary attempt to politicize everything, but what does an airline company that has a terrible reputation for service have to do with the Democrats? I'm guessing the C level execs at American vote "R" across the board. Did we vote for the executives and board members at American (if you have stock, you might have)? It's OK to blame a corporation that doesn't care about its customers for not doing the right thing.

The 34 convicted accounts is also ridiculous because its all the same thing repeating. Trump paid Cohen who paid Stormy Daniels to be silent. This is a pretty common thing in business. Now the reason for the "silence" was supposedly an affair but it has not been confirmed. Regardless.. That is not the reason for the convictions. Stormy Daniels does now owe Trump money due to breaking this agreement. The reason for the convictions is the paper work which said the payment was for Legal purposes and that Trump knew it was for Stormy Daniels. That it is... This whole thing for months is due to the paper work saying LEGAL EXPENSES instead of REIMBURSE. I am sorry but anyone looking at this outside should realize this is absolutely absurd.

Doesn't have to be employees stealing. In many airports there is no check at the baggage claim. People can just walk into the baggage claim, which is outside security, grab a bag, and wander off. If the owner of the bag isn't there to witness it, who is going to stop them?

I swear I only see this logic with woman or girly men. I was at the store last week and a woman who worked at this store for years was taken away by police in handcuffs. The staff said she stole around a thousand bucks. The woman at that desk said how it was "unnecessary to treat her like that" and instead they could of "nicely" asked her to go. They explained how it must of been "embarrassing" for how they treated her. She is a criminal and yet "be nice" because "feelings".. Absurd. They care less about the fact she took money from the very story that pays them a living and are more concerned about how it makes her look bad? When you take from a local store you take from everyone in that area. These people are the same type of people who get robbed and then blame everything but the person who robbed them. They blame the gun, the knife, diversity whatever.. I dont know where this mindset came from but it was never a thing when I was growing up. The empathy for everything to a point of being abused and walked over. The zero accountability for ones own actions..

1. The airlines will not do anything whatsoever to help you find a lost bag, so don't even try. You can tell them it's under a desk at their gate, and they will hang up on you. They will try to avoid compensating you, too. 2. The police do not care AT ALL about stolen goods, unless it's Ashley Biden's worthless diary, in which case expect them to send in a tank. You can send them pictures of your stuff in the doorway of a building across the street from a police station, and they will tell you there is nothing they can do. 3. Aftermarket insurers don't care about you, either. They will deny your claim and wait for you to sue. Never check anything you care about.

I remember not that long ago, you had tags stapled to your boarding pass that corresponded by numbers to your checked bags. You couldn't exit the baggage claim area until an airport employee checked you thru to verify your luggage tags matched. So they moved these people from helping to keep your luggage secure to confiscating things like shampoo, lotion and fingernail clippers and destroying your bags by breaking the locks.

A fallen state

I went to NY for business. My luggage went missing and they lied and lied about it. Never got it back. Stayed in one of the well known hotels in Manhattan and someone there cloned my card, took over £1500 dollars. I have never been back and never did business in the US again.

US citizen here. Can't say that I blame you. But your mistake was stepping foot in NY. I wouldn't be caught there dead myself. If you ever entertain visiting us again, consider traveling to an end destination in a smaller locale, and just bring a backpack as a carry on. Our country is still a great place... outside of the Democrat-run cities.

I get what you say also about democrat areas and agree. It’s the same here (England), certain areas are just not worth it. I actually bought from the States recently, really made well. Overall I'm encouraged to see the uptick in conservatives regaining their respective countries. There's much ground to be recovered though unfortunately.

I watched them come back out to my plane and open up the luggage port, fill up the truck and drive away. I could clearly see my luggage on the cart. I yelled at the cabin crew and they told me to shut up and sit down or I would be banned from flying again. That was 1985 out of Atlanta.

Airlines hocking off misplaced luggage for some fentanyl. What did the airlines do with all the free money they got when covid hit ? They laid off tons of employees so they didn’t have to pay them . They should send all the infrastructure money set to go to airports to HSR projects instead and let the airlines kick rocks.

Oh I think we know exactly how this happened. An employee of the airline has a nice little side hustle collecting "lost" baggage at work, marks it as transported to the owner, then hauls a few dozen at a time to downtown Hollywood and sells them to the homeless.

As an American company. Is it just standard practice to fk every customer over? Seems to be a common thing over there. Businesses always insulting and blaming customers for their products failures. And when they get caught out stealing and selling your property. They still blame the clients an customers and still not accept responsibility.

Truth be told, checking baggage is dumb. Especially now that they allow suitcase sized carry ons. If you need to check a suitcase (sometimes other items need to be checked like boxed or equipment) your travelling far too heavy. I never let my stuff leave my sight.

Unfortunately the problem is with the way airports are designed in the US. In other countries, baggage claim is only accessible to arriving passengers, and anyone meeting passengers have to wait outside of baggage claim.
