This is a really cool tool, (probably the best idea I ever seen) but just in low poly. You generates the city in low poly and export to another tool like blender or maya to a better performance and level design. The price is too high for indie developers like me but a great project!

Whenever I try to drag the udatasmith file into my content browser I get an error message from unreal, saying that it doesn't recognise the extension .udatasmith. Anyone know why this might be? I'm running 4.17.2, and I had the same error with 4.16.3 :(

hi! You can find many rules to help you in your Esri.lib folder in the Navigator. Just drag the rule onto the shape. If you cannot find what you need in Esri.lib, then you can always drag the obj. onto the viewport in CE and then it will import the model. FYI though, this model will then be a static model. I hope this helps you. Cheers, Taisha from the CityEngine Team

ue4 does not have real-time lightning like CryEngine do. It's a shame for ue4. unity holds 50% of mobile development. ue4 is great but for indie devs and small studios, unity is the best way to go.

Why is watching the leaders of the tech world in real life is so confusing and boring. Not like TV.. CSI, and NCIS, or Tom Cruise or Vin Deisel movies. The police always have computers that can show everything imaginable with a few clicks. And on TV, no matter how messed up the photo is .. they just push some buttons on the computer and suddenly it's perfect clarity for zooming in.
