  This is why I do my own tutorials in the long run - all this stuff looks really fancy and cool, but the videos never show you how to actually set it up or where to add the rules specifically to get it to render correctly.....

  Hi, this this new era. Where everything is futuristic ( or cyberpunk ) style. Why do you still keep old and ugly style of that building ? We can not use it for real modern or futuristic movie scene. Please improve very much architecture design core of the software. Thanks !

  It is really a shame these key tutorials are so poorly documented and presented. Even after purchasing the subscription for CityEngine- there is NO clarity on how to use the facade rules properly, or the other key features of the software.

  Summary: 1. you can create different buildings and assets in Skecthup 2. Import those assets in City Engine 3. They are saying about SketchUp library for City Engine, but, that library is not available to all, instead it sounds we need to actually create that library over several years!

  Hi all - interested in the settings you used to bring in the shapes from Sketchup intact? I'm trying to find a workflow to go from closed polylines in CAD to CityEngine shapes, but bringing them in as surfaces means they merge together.

  Why there's no update on sketchup export features? For example. It exports the whole model in one big component and when we want to explode the model there the software crashes. It's better that smaller objects like buildings,cars and trees, or even windows and doors turn into separate components to reduce the size. Also having tags(sketchup layers) is really helpful. For example one for building one for trees etc. So it's easier to work with.

  Your elevated guideway doesn't have any slope at the start and the end. Not very smart. Or maybe the extrude should have been done downward so that you can actually connect that guideway to the rest of the road network...Job done halfay.
