Unraveling the Mess of Arachnid Phylogeny
Музыка
Classifying organisms is an important function of biology. But if phylogenetics is ultimately based on a floundering theory of origins, how helpful is it to our understanding of living things? On this ID The Future, host Andrew McDiarmid and paleoentemologist Gunter Bechly unpack some of the major problems with arachnid phylogeny and its implications for the common descent hypothesis.

Wow, very interesting podcast.

@@Daily-PE From Wiki: Like all planthoppers, the nymphs of this insect have a small, gear-like structure on the base of each of their hind legs. These gears have teeth that intermesh, keeping the legs synchronized when the insect jumps, preventing it from spiraling. This is the first planthopper species in which the function of these gears was described, though their existence had been known for decades. The insects shed this gear before moulting into adults.

So much with spiders! They use their webs to extend their minds. All spiders webs are morphological structures of hyperboloid/toroid form. They explain via genetics/ eyes etc spinnerets complexity, separate evolution of eyes etc.
Darwin fails again.
