10 years of UNLEASH THE ARCHERS! These heavy metal heroes are celebrating this honour with an exhilarating feast on "Apex", their fourth masterpiece. This one will take nerves of steel; from its opener “Awakening” to the closing title track, the listener will partake in a furious adventure, weaving through elements of the strongest metal genres of our time. You’ll be guided by the shimmering heat of sweeping lead guitars, face-melting solos, deafening growls, pummelling bass lines and of course the thrilling hooks of Brittney Slayes' king-size voice. Heartrending choirs defending heavy metal evermore beckon you into battle! Channeling the fiery brilliance of shooting stars, there is immense beauty on “Apex”, and it clutches you with a fervor that lingers well beyond the last cymbal decay. Through swift melodies and a flair for the dramatic, UNLEASH THE ARCHERS newest release compels you to chant with fists raised high in the air "All hail heavy metal!”

Lyrics: UNLEASH THE ARCHERS - Awakening To look up into the night's sky, to see the stars they are changed To know a thousand years or more have passed, and I am the same This mountain hollow that keeps me in a suffocating embrace A prison and a safe haven, it's always been this way Lo, a new master calls me to awakening, I know this one brings the end Far out beyond the darkness I've been living in it's true, a whole new world awaits Stellar constellations rise, lighting my way in the night Once again revitalized, to roam; to never die My path begins with the new dawn; a voice is calling my name It always starts as whispering then manifests to a scream I'm drawn to the creature that wakes me, bound to them by the curse My soul exists only to serve, a covenant of birth Fear not the task ahead there's no escaping it, there's no good nor evil here Stellar constellations rise, lighting my way in the night Once again revitalized, to roam; to never die Come to me, awakening Follow my voice, come to me Fear not the task ahead there's no escaping it, there's no good nor evil here Stellar constellations rise, lighting my way in the night Once again revitalized, to roam; to never Lighting my way in the night To roam; to never die

@@alexiz0013 depends on what kind of metal you like - if you dig UNLEASH THE ARCHERS, you should / could like at least some (if not many) bands of this selection: KAMELOT, NIGHTWISH, SABATON, EPICA, POWERWOLF, SYMPHONY X, AMARANTHE, EVERGREY, THRESHOLD, AYREON, CIRCUS MAXIMUS, SHADOW GALLERY, AVANTASIA... There's a lot more, of course, and I left out almost all of the older "classics" that you probably know already. This is the most frustrating/delightful thing about watching people who are incredibly good. In order to get there they have to be so efficient with every movement that it looks effortless. This is incredibly irritating when you are starting off and are putting in loads of effort but are nowhere close to someone who looks from the outside like they are putting in no effort. The effort is just hidden in time.

Metal is a genre that delivers a lot of things emotionally to me. This however made me misty eyed the first time I heard it. This song is amazing and catchy, but once you actually are able to see and visualize what these guys are doing it just adds a whole new level of depth and takes the song from 10 to 11. It's not a "traditional" music video but rather them in their studio playing the song which puts more emphasis on the performance of the music than the theater of a video. Watching the fingers of the guitar and bass players and the feet of the drummer and Brittney's face as she hits those high notes just really showcases how incredible this band is. This is actually the song that I discovered this band on and I haven't looked back since. Also, the production is incredible. The mix really highlights each instruments individual role and prowess and that bass playing is so sick and complex!

Brittney, I am not sure if you will ever read this, but I'd like to thank you for this song. I am not sure what is UTA's current lineup, so I'll mention Grant, Andrew, Nick and Scott in this comment. I'd like to thank the 5 of you for giving me the best song I've heard this year. I didn't know of you guys before, I think I came across your song through a Spotify playlist or so. Nevertheless, this song now means a lot to me. It's one of the most powerful, beautiful songs I've ever heard in my life. From the first time, there wasn't (and there won't be) a single moment where this song won't mess with my emotions. I have wet my eyes and had goosebumps almost every time I listened to Awakening. Music helps define who I am, and this song messes with the innermost part of my being. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the fast-paced dueling guitar riffs, for the powerful and larger-than-life drum lines, for the creative usage of a jaw-dropping sound of that bass, and most of all, thank you for the TITANIC vocals you have delivered in this song. Thank you for that heartwarming chorus. This song now lives in my heart.
