Canadian shooting stars UNLEASH THE ARCHERS have been on the road since their inception in 2007. Since then they have created an immensely loyal North American fan base. With a fresh sound, precise songwriting and the incredible feeling for heaviness and melodies, this power quintet with singer Brittney Slayes are now ready to take the rest of the world. Their new studio album Time Stands Still, is fast-paced and wildly entertaining; the combination of power vocals, death screams, tasty guitar licks and complex drumming provide a little something for everyone. Time Stands Still is kick ass heavy metal with fist-pumping anthemic melodies you can’t help but sing along to.

Yesterday I went in for surgery. As I was being prepared, a nurse asks what music I like. I explained they likely would not have it in an OR, they asked for a few band names after I told them Metal... I woke up to this. Unleash the Archers is AMAZING! And so is Mass General Hospital's cardiovascular surgical team for playing music that brings me comfort.

+Taxtro That was my joke dagnabit! Probably over egged the pudding though. I wrote this whole paragraph directly above your comment one day before you wrote it lol ''The name of this band just seems ridiculous. ''Unleash the archers''? Who the hell keeps their archers leashed in the first place? What would be the point in that? I mean, do they even have their bows and arrows with them while they're leashed or do you have to, in fact, both unleash the archers and also unlock the cabinets within which their weapons have been stored? But surely if you kept all your archers leashed, they're not going to best pleased. Then when you do unleash them all, whose to say that they're not going to have a pop at you for leashing them up? ''Unleash the hounds'' I'd understand a little more but maybe the hounds are bother called Archer? And ‘’Unleash the Archers'' is actually a command to unleash the dogs? I don't know. Maybe I'm over thinking this.''

When I watch Brittney whip her hair around... I find faith in God again. Utterly breath-taking.
I went on a musical journey last night with lyriel as a starting point and went from there listening to female fronted metal for a while. it was all good until I came across this video. I have to admit I laughed when she did her 80's style voice intro. I thought it was cheesy. then it didn't take long (about 10 seconds)to realize I had stumbled across something very special. this womans incredible voice literally brought me to tears and sent a tangible and powerful surge down my spine. I went to see if she could pull it off live in another vid and good god christ she is even arguably better live if you can believe it! I have been a metalhead for 35 years or more and have not had music release endorphins like this song did. it was like a very powerful drug. I can't get enough and I hope they continue to make music like this. this band is great and write great songs but they simply would not be the same without her. she is tthe real deal. on par with the best! amazing and spine tingling!

I'm all for female fronted bands, especially metal bands. I enjoy symphonic metal, many of which have female vocalists. Truth be told though, most female vocalists cannot do these kinds of vocals. I think the only female vocalist that comes close to Brittney's ability (this is after only hearing this one song, mind you) is the powerhouse from Otep.

This is such a well shot music video. It totally does justice to how magnificent the song is. UTA are incredibly talented on every level. Every band member more than holds their own, and the songwriting/arrangement just keep getting better and better with each album. Best metal band of the last decade imo.

Been a LONG time since I've heard a band and immediately wanted to buy their entire catalog! EPIC does not aptly describe her voice!!
Man they rock!! I may be 65 years old but I know a good metal band when I hear one and boy, can they rock. She has a beautiful voice. I discovered them on Pandora by accident when I was surfing. Been hooked since. ❤
I usually quite dislike songs with growling, it's just not my thing but in this song they are perfectly placed. I can't say I like a lot of their songs (since growls arent really my thing) but this one really stands out. It's epic, badass, really awesome work by band. Been headbanging and singing along to it for days now and there's no sign of stopping soon XD

cfbigmac1 yep, they use growls quite well, this song really stands out for me though xd Another band whose growls I enjoyed is "brezno", they use them perfectly in nearly every song, since they make it connected to the lyrics. The most metal bands we ever hear on the radio on the west cost of NA is 5 Finger Death Punch or Avenged Sevenfold, And even then, you'd never hear them on the mainstream stations. The only 2 rock songs I've heard play on the radio at work in past two months were Nirvana's Smells like Teen Spirit and the Foo Fighter's - The Pretender. Those were probably the best 8 minutes at work in the past 2 months....
She strikes like thunder, electrifing my soul every time she sings.
Just returning here after 5 years since discovering this unbelievable band with this video and it still hits just as hard. And they only get better with each album. I've yet to see them live, I was supposed to do so last week with Dragonforce, but fkn' Covid had other plans.

[Verse 1] Hold on to this moment for all time, this is the night we ride I hear them calling our name Raising the flag and fueling the flame [Pre-Chorus] I’ll find my destination; don’t tell me where to go I won’t give in this time, feel the power Not this time, scream it louder [Chorus] Voyage o’er the mountains and wastelands Far beyond the sea lies fortune No regrets, just live for the fight Renounce your precious lives and ride Take hold of your steel chariot; though ours is gone, lives on Rise to the challenge or fall Nothing will hinder our rise to the call [Pre-Chorus] We’ll find our destination, can’t tell us where to go We won’t give in this time, feed the hunger Not this time, growing stronger [Chorus] Voyage o’er the mountains and wastelands Far beyond the sea lies fortune (We’ll find our destination; let’s go) [Chorus] Voyage o’er the mountains and wastelands Far beyond the sea lies fortune [Outro] Fly, redeem tonight Destroy, renounce your precious lives and ride
