Unit Garage windscreen Triumph 1200 XE install

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Install video of the Unit Garage windscreen on a Triumph 1200 XE.
I probably should have filmed putting the sticker on but if you search applying 3m film or vinyl film I’m sure you can find a much better video to explain how it’s done.
Basically you need the following:
Hair dryer
Felt tip application spreader
Spray bottle with 90/10 solution of water to baby shampoo.
Cheers 🍻

    Looks very good. Can't wait to hear what you think of it's function. The wind diffuser looks like it would be problematic with rain, not that anyone desires to ride in the rain, lol.

    I’ve done roughly 20 miles on the Highway at 80ish mph with my dirt bike helmet on. Definitely better than the OEM “Touring” screen. So far so good. I will more than likely do a 500 mile review of it.

    I've got the same windscreen on my Scrambler build. Does the quadlock work well on the narrow GPS mount tube? Does it stick out pretty far? I'm looking for the best phone mounting solution for my bike.

    Nice video and great bike... How comfortable is the blue for long journeys solo and with companion????

  • @2wheelAdv

    @2wheelAdv

    3 жыл бұрын

    Greetings and thanks. I'm going to take a guess "blue" was a typo and is either referencing the bike or windscreen. The bike & windscreen make a decent touring bike with off road capabilities. You won't want to do any 500 mile days but a good 250-300 mile day won't be an issue for an experienced traveler. Now adding a companion on the back is a different story. I haven't personally taken any trips yet with a companion on the back but I would say it would shorten the miles a good bit and also greatly reduce the storage capacity. Also another thing to keep in mind is I have a custom seat from Sargent cycles which helps a ton for the bum! I hope this helps.

    @@2wheelAdv hi!! Thanks for your reply and yes, you were right about "blue" real meaning was bike but including the windscreen... I like to do long rides, but seldom times more than 500kms in one day, so I guess that it will not be a problem... Thanks a lot for your reply!

    The Screen serves its purpose. It will never replace the screen on my GSA but definitely makes a difference. I’m 6’1” and look over top of it. It would probably sit right or eye level or slightly above for you.

    Hey, I’m 6.1 also and I took this on the Highway with my dirt bike helmet. I didn’t experience anything like I do without a screen. 75 mph wasn’t terrible by any means with that style of helmet. I’m going to be switching to my Shoei Glamster this week which was terrible on the Highway with no screen. So I will check back in and update.
