    The plus side to running power from the battery is so you can use the lights with high beam. Output looks really good 👍

    @@2wheelAdv I ended buying a set from barefoot Industries on etsy. He also rides a scrambler 1200. Very happy with my the fog lights and was a easy plug and play, finished installation in about 15 mins.

    @@mototrini nice, it came with the connectors that match the ones inside the headlight or taped into the wires?

    Looks great thanks for the how to! Do you think a tool bag or small cash bar luggage could fit to the high mount crash bars on the 1200 XE? Or even those headlights to the top of the crash bar? Thank you!

    Wiring it strait to the battery, does that not mean that the lights still have power even if the bike is off ?. I can just imagine someone coming along and switching them on draining the battery.

    The wire wire is connected to the switched power source; like headlights or running light wires.

    In all my years of travels no one has ever messed with my bike like that. If I was in an area that might pose a problem I would just disconnect the battery for extra precautions. I’ve personally experienced problems with Triumphs wiring harness so I try at all cost to avoid splicing into anything.

    I’ve got the same lights with the universal data dim can bus harness. I have to say I’m a bit worried about tapping into,other wires ie horn, light , indicators etc…..any tips or even better a video?

    I don’t like tapping into the wiring harness especially on Triumph. However, the horn would probably be a safe bet and a easy fix if something wears out over time. I don’t have any other videos made right now for it but Denali should have some on their channel.

    You can't just link these to the fog light button can you?

  • @2wheelAdv

    @2wheelAdv

    Hey, you can but you would lose the ability for “Data Dim”, high beam function and would also have to order the specific wiring connectors. I’ve thought about doing it and still might. I don’t need high beam with these and not concerned about running at low power for the dim feature to matter.

    Good job, clean and efficient From my side I’ll use the original switch and connectors which are hidden into the front light, I’ll be feeling more safe, and avoid some electrical issue 💪💪
