ZIM is the first representative model of the Gorky Automobile Plant. The predecessor of the Chaika GAZ-13. It was mainly used as an official car intended for the Soviet, party and government nomenklatura at the level of deputies, but not top officials. In some cases, it was also sold for personal use. In total, from 1949 to 1959, 21,527 copies of ZIM / GAZ-12 of all modifications were produced.

Very cool. The front end looks similar to a 1948-1949 Cadillac. These really are some interesting cars. 🚗🙂

Given that it leaned over like an overfilled aquarium at maybe 20 mph in the video, I would guess it probably doesn't handle very well.
