Unerasing Erased People

Dr. Roy Casagranda walks into the minefield of race and representation! To erase to not to erase? How should Cleopatra VII be represented in film?
Also how much do you love our new amazing background!?!?! Just looking at it makes me feel like inclusion exists.

Watching the Palestinians slowly being erased from history is depressing the hell out of me and making me incredibly anxious. Like a lot of people i feel helpless but your content, Roy, is the only thing helping me through this period. As soon as my children are old enough i will tell them to watch your content to counter the school history brainwashing. Your Brit bashing makes me laugh out loud and helps me forget the seriousness of life. You are the Dave Chapelle of academia. Big thanks from the UK.

I like his material, he does not vilify North African, Middle Eastern and southern European culture, but put it’s into context. I am half Egyptian, half Karelian, Dutch and French educated and have been called many names or cultures… but the reality is mostly in the middle. It should not be cheap tribalism, the reason why is that Western civilisation does not start after Rome or the renaissance, it started much earlier in the Mediterranean area and western Asia and it was wide color pallet and much more inclusive, albeit for various wars (but hey that’s humanity for ya) Looking forward to more lectures

Just made a post about this the other day. This is an oft-neglected part of continuing genocides, by erasing their histories, rewriting their histories, and deliberately obfuscating them for nefarious reasons. It's vile and lowly but it's real and it happens. In any situation of the oppressor vs the oppressed, you can see this dynamic being played. It's mad.

Superior multicultural erudition and a keen sense of historical justice the overall Western sense of history is not familiar with, -- mostly deliberately--due to deeply rooted prejudice and the fascistic idea of denigrating what is relevant and enlightening about other nonwestern cultures such as the Islamic and Native American cultures among many others. I have so much respect and admiration for the integral character and impartiality of Professor Casagranda, whose heart, mind, and soul are truly a grand and open house for all to learn from!

Ok, let's be clear here, all this historical talk for or against the portrayal of Cleopatra, does not matter!.... Jada Smith herself admitted she wanted to pull off a Marvel's "What If!" on Cleopatra, that's it!.....Tina Gharavi and Jada Smith are in no way historians and they're not nearly as sophisticated as required of a director and producer for such a series!....They're simply a couple divas, playing to their woke feminist-afrocentric fantasy, and passing it off as real history. And they got the woke corporate mob backing them up! And before you accuse me of being a white supremacist, I'm a Muslim arab, with part African and part Turkish btw, I don't even live in the US!

It's so refreshing to learn history and so much more from, in a manner that it doesn't feel like studying. Love from Pakistan, it's very common to stereotype in hollywood, for example Homeland series, which is basically about us 'cave dwellers' and there is an actual scene where they show pakistan people, in a village and there is no law/security and it was hilarious to us but of course it's very dangerous to the minds, who already see anyone with a different culture/skin color as their enemy. It's a fear machine, giving them their new enemy in a form of entertainment.

So now sub Saharan African comes into play ? Being that Egypt is in Africa . And a deeper point to that is to show that the biggest secret of all the so-called African-Americans that he’s referring to isn’t African at all?. Not to mention those same people who would have the outcry about her playing that role or the invaders because of those were the real people in that area of Africa they would know how to speak the native tongue that was on those walls in the pyramids.
