First off, Caitlin Clark is NOT the greatest female basketball player ever, and if you think that, you don't know basketball. Clark could NOT go one-on-one with the MAJORITY of WNBA players and would get embarrassed. Clark simply scored the most points in COLLEGE, that's it...COLLEGE. Your college stats become obsolete the moment you turn pro and should never be mentioned again. I dare someone to state that Clark is better than A'ja Wilson...PLEASE. Secondly, Clark showed why she has NEVER won a championship at the state or collegiate level...because she is not a leader. She is not a leader, and she is not a scorer. Clark is a shooter, no more and no less. Clark absolutely CHOKED in that game and did not want to be the reason that the Fever lost. Clark is selfish and doesn't want any bad headlines, so she disappeared instead of taking center stage, which is exactly what Reese did. If Reese was going to go down, well, she was going to go down ON CENTER STAGE, which is where the stars are supposed to be, win, lose, or draw. Clark had ZERO confidence in her shot because for the majority of her career, she has shot the ball uncontested. Clark faced very little to no defense in college and pretty much walked the ball up the court, went to an open spot, and let it fly. Under those circumstances, it is not impressive that she scored the most points since she clearly took the most shots. As @YChef33 so astutely pointed out, Clark did not want to step up and be the LEADER in the 4th quarter and especially in those final moments. Clark's fans wants to heap all these accolades on Clark, but when it comes to her actually EARNING them, she doesn't, but her fans give them to her anyway, so where is the motivation for her to step up and lead? When the Fever win, it's only Clark in the headlines even when Boston and Mitchell have scored the most points, and she really didn't contribute. When the Fever lose, it's everybody's fault including Sant Claus EXCEPT Clark. So, she is in a win-win situation and will continue to just ride her wave of media-created hype. Once some other good rookies, like Reese, come into the league, Clark will disappear, and the media will look to create the next "greatest (white, straight, with a white boyfriend) basketball player of all time." For example, Paige Bueckers is much better than Clark, but she has a black boyfriend, so she doesn't check enough boxes for the WNBA to get behind her, like it did with Clark, when she comes into the league...facts.

Clark does not have momentum for rookie of the year. Yes it’s true. The WNBA is supporting clark but that means absolutely nothing else. Remove clark from the fever team the fever play better. Remove Reese from the games they won. Do you think Chicago will win? Angel Reese is rookie of the year and that’s it. I know these so-called analyst is doing a lot of talking, but to me, they only are creating news.

Remove Clark from the Fever they don't win many games. The Fever do not play better without Clark and that's why she's on the floor 38 minutes a game.

*How does CC have more foul shots than Allyah Boston?* CC doesn't drive to the hole or anything that draws contact. She mostly sits beyond the arc and wait for outside passes while AB works in the paint.

@@benjaminsmith2287 I know a little about basketball. Bigs in the paint are the most fouled of the 5 positions by virtue of living in the paint, but of course there are exceptions. I'm actually a CC follower since before she was with Iowa.
