IMO the so-called "vampires" in the Twilight world have characteristics that more resemble those of fairy fair-folks or some other type of forest supernatural, who mistakenly called themselves vampires because of their diet (in Scottish folklore, fairies/fae also drink blood). There might have been "true" vampires but were driven to extinction like the Children of the Moon (true lycans, as opposed to the shape-shifter of the Quileute tribe), but the author never expanded on the vast potential of the world she created.

Yes, i think they wanted to bring a bot of humour in.

i loved the vampire/werewolves world building in underworld (original and rise of the lycans, not the trash sequels). Both the modern world conflict and the medieval eras were well done.

Hahah Raze handled them lycans and he was a human first. Hey knocked them straight. Too bad it wasn't more sound effects of him punching them.

Lycan 1 to other lycan 2: "you go first to get that human". Lycan 2 to lycan 1: no why i gotta go first. L1 to L2: just get yo scary self over there and get him". L2 to L1: "Ugghh whatever". L2 launches at Raze Raze glocks his fist: "come on!" Raze punches sound effect (dunk...gnock) L1 watches L2 get knocked L1: "ahhhhtt nvmd imma just back away." Raze looks at L1: " you want some." L1 turns around to get someone else.

They were together for a long time, even having a child but if they really were married or not is said nowhere. Even on Websites in the Internet i couldn’t find anything about this.

I remember the 1st time seeing this wondering why the progenitor William wud back down to Lucian but apparently I missed that they had already captured him lol It would've been cool to see the wild wolves or William himself learn to gain control over the decades but still being more prone to violence.

In my opinion, William would've backed down as well. He obviously felt inferior to Marcus, so he always had that beta male mindset. I don't think he would've challenged any alpha male unless they were starving.

@Sam H. we don't hav as much intel on what William was like bfore n after. He seems to act on instinct & I'm not sure why (Hypothetically) he'd back down from Lucian with a pack of other wild wolves supporting him, when Marcus was never present. Technically Lucian's virus shud be more diluted. We've only seen one genuine exchange between William n Marcus and initially William was about to "kill" him bfore he came to his senses, after being trapped for so long. Marcus never had to use force or fear tactics with his brother. There's a chance William cud sense Marcus had gotten stronger from the wolf gene. However it was always implied that William & Marcus had a strong connection even when he cudnt see him. From what we kno the virus not only gives you memories of the one who infect you, but also shared vision (awakening scene) with certain family members. If that has nothing to do with it then dat twin-telepathy is strong 🤔

@@e-roc6472 Apparently virus dilution isn't the only factor of power. We see plenty of immortals through the series that are further removed from the progenitors kill older immortals. Vitkor was made by Marcus, but Marcus was always afraid of him after all. Viktor even beat Micheal as a hybrid before Selene cheap shoted him. Then Selene went on to kill lots of more powerful immortals. Training seems to mean more than age, and Lucian defeated Viktor 1v1, which leads one to believe he was likely the strongest combatant in the Underworld universe. Lucian had probably the hardest life of any of them, and only went down to a cheap shot himself.

@Jake I was speaking earlier on a possible outcome if William had a standoff with Lucian. William operates on instinct. He wudnt kno about Lucian's brutal upbringing. He'd only be in tune with Lucian malice/threat lvl towards himself. The narrative only partially explains how the 6th sense works for those with the virus. The savage lycans were thought to be mindless bfore their encounter with Lucian. They didn't know him personally but sensed the potency of his strain which apparently mutated again. They also don't attack each other that often. So I hav no reason to assume William, specifically, wud back down from Lucian's roar. If we're talking about an actual fight to the death, lucian never 1v1'd anyone from the modern time period. Lucian does hav the advantage of being "in control" however it took a hybrid (since Viktor was dead) to put William down after taking countless bullets. Experience & fighting prowess definitely matters. It's one of the main reasons vampires continue to win despite being physically weaker on average. Lycan can't seem to use weapons when they transform. With Viktor & Marcus, both were implied to hav gotten stronger since the old days. Like u said Selene had to catch him off guard bfore she got her upgrade(s). I use to wonder why Marcus didn't challenge Viktor too. After revisiting some of the movies,.. Marcus was more or less afraid of Viktor's influence. He changed Viktor & his army into vamprs for that very reason when lycans went rampant. Similar to Lucian, Marcus's character 'suffers' from not seeing him combat anyone from the past, making him harder to scale as the progenitor.

Victor had he’s fate although he was one of the coolest characters in this franchise but such a shame they killed Michael…that’s the only reason I wasn’t feeling Blood Wars cuz he was missing also Lucian was great shame he got killed so poorly by that douche Kraven

Because they were the original Wolf created by Williams pure blood…vicious animal unable to take human form ever again…The others are the Lycans the second race created by Lucian the first werewolf to be able to take human form and change to wolf at will…much smarter that’s why they are called Lycans…so big difference here

No...Selene is a complete different Character. While Sonja was a pure blood vampire Selene was once a normal human. Victor only turned her because of her resemblence to Sonja

Well, you’re clearly lying. And you’re a child with an age complex pretending to me older. I’m 32. So, I was 18 and watched this in the cinema when it came out in 2009. VHS we’re very much gone at this point. We had blue-ray, DVD etc all as complete mainstay by the time of this movie. The first Underworld, released in 2003, yes, people may have watched that VHS. As it was still lingering around then. This movie. No!
