Amen. I can't understand Korean people. If this group came from my country I would be so proud and back them all the way instead of throwing hate on them. What is wrong with Korean people? Just because accolades don't go to your particular favorite group you tear down the singular thing that came out of your country that is making a name for you in the world? Just ask yourselves if anyone would be bothered with your country were it not for BTS? would anyone be visiting? Learning the language? Spending the money on Korean products like they do if we're not for them? Would your favorite band even be making a name for itself in the number one, two and three music markets in the world if it were not for them? Maybe Japan, but definitely not the UK or the USA. Yet you boycott them causing harm to your own bands because who in those countries want to give your bands a shot after their fandoms try to destroy the number one group who comes out of your country? You people doing this have no clue the damage that you do. You may want to start thinking with your brains for a change. Your own favorite groups would have more fans were it not for your hatred.

Iike where they ate, slept, lived, practiced and recorded. Yeah right. They faked sleeping in a dorm. Big Hit faked almost going bankrupt. (Something that's a matter of public record) those people. How can they live with themselves spreading lies like that? Aren't the groups they follow enough for them? Why don't they make their artists proud by assisting other fans, starting charities or collecting in their groups name instead of wasting precious time fighting online? BTS showed us the way. They taught us to love ourselves and each other. For a while there I forgot and came down to street fighting level. No thank you, not anymore. I'm back to a BTS frame of mind. Haters need to find something worthy to do. Otherwise they will just burn up and turn to dust!

Because they don't have anything ill on BTS so they are now accusing BTS of being member of a cult. Worse, they are doing it while BTS cannot defend themselves. Those antis are foolish cowards.

BTW all HYBE fandoms are under attack. TXT is e.g. named also in the cult article I read. Sometimes there is missinformation: There is a Koreaboo article that mentions an old song from Beenzino (?) and misstranslates it. The song had him being offended for suggesting he needed to shave if he wanted to be part of the BTS project (he only hinted at names). Shave can mean plastic surgery but lets face it: In this case it is absolut nonsense as no one had the money for that and if it was suggested it would have made more sense to suggest it to say Hobi because of the BS he got for his non-Korean beauty standard looks. But the article took that wrong translation as the true lyrics instead of a not very intelligent translation without logic. I hope they take down that article or at east change that missinformation.

Is it okay to preorder it is it best to wait and buy each song individually? I have been told that for billboard it is best to buy each song separately which makes no sense to me. Buying a song is burnt a song, but I want to do what is best for Rm. that’s why I haven’t pre-ordered yet.

​@JerCarman it depends on what you value as a fan. There is no wrong answer all support counts. Buying the album counts for album charts and everything else counts for singles charts. Billboard etc have different charts for each but hot 100 is a singles chart. I personally pre-order and purchase albums and then stream singles to count for whatever else. I would.love the big f- you that charting rpwp would bring

I've stopped following BTS for years so the last thing I remember about military was that they were exempted? So seeing the members willingly taking up and serving the compulsory military is quite amiable and sort of showing that they don't want special treatments for what they've achieved for the country in turn of tourism and expanding Korean music industry into a global market in a huge scale. It's wild that other companies and people , instead of taking this opportunity to promote and put their groups names out there, are trying to systematically take down BTS. It's sort of like biting the hand that feed them, because without BTS opening and paving the ways, Kpop won't have as much impact in the west as it does now. Sure, there will probably come a group who does that but how many years would it take? BTS essentially revived the hallyu wave throughout asia as well. Not saying Kpop industry owns everything to BTS but the industry, people and fans in it should at least pay due respect. Acknowledge what BTS has done for the industry, the fans (especially international fans who had to jump though hurdles to get kpop merch and cds before BTS became so huge that now almost every kpop groups merchs and CDs are easily accessible) and just leave them alone if you don't like them. You can hate someone and still be adult enough to see and accept the goods they've done. BTS worked hard to be where they are now. They weren't handed everything. All they have now (awards, money, fame and so on) , are the result of their dedications and hard works. All are well-deserved. Although I'm no longer a fan of BTS, I'll always acknowledge and respect them for what they have done, especially because I've seen them at their lowest and witnessed how they clawed up to where they are now. I really hope they will still be making music and be successful for years to come. They don't deserve a downfall like that at the hands of jealous pathetic small minded people.

They were never exempted, a law was created to give them an extension. Jin was able to stay until 30, but yes they all chose to complete their service

Actually, it was ALL the other Kpop music industry corporations that wanted music idols to be exempted from the mandatory military service requirements in South Korea!!!!!! BigHit was never part of this conspiracy to change Korean law because these corporations thought BigHit was not in their league. Yet , these other corporations publicly allowed for BTS to be named for their desire of military service exemption!!!! That's crazy, that they first used military exemption to take down BTS, now cult allegations!!!!!! Let's not forget, Min's career was born in several of these major music corporations that tried to take BTS down with the military exemption claims years ago. Also to note, this woman podcaster did an excellent video synopsis of the false BTS military service exemption claims, which only further engaged Army to be more protective of BTS against the haters and antis trying to harm the reputation of BTS and end their career. Let's be clear, only BTS CAN END BTS!!!!! JHope's 2022 appearance at one of the world's biggest festivals got it renamed - Hobipalooza!!!!!! His performance sold out in record time, something NO other artists had ever done, let alone a non-English speaking and Korean artist!!!! RM, Jimin, JK, V, Jin, and, especially, Suga (as Agust D) have all received global acclaim for their independent work and concert performances!!!! Coming out in 2024, while all in service - Hope on the Street documentary series, Agust D concert documentary, Jin's performance of The Astronaut at Coldplay's concert was beyond heartwarming, JK, Jimin and V behind the scenes working dance and MV performances, some already released, and RM 's upcoming May 2024 part 2 album release proves these 7 knew what they needed to do to stay relevant and to keep Army by their side! Look the the Billboard Music charts, yes multiple worldwide charts, shows them in various spots replacing each other and even themselves in higher and number one positions. Nothing can or will stop the golden three rap line from writing and producing songs about what is being done to them now! I can't name the number of songs these golden 3 have already released to counter their past haters since their debut. Once out of the military, in 2025 nothing will save the haters and antis from the power of the "pen and paper" of RM, Suga and JHope!!!!!

@@oupamosoane thats is my point,in the philippines there is an issue about confict of some korean people and filipino people disrespecting both flags because of bts,a lot of filipino people got annoyed and mad because filipino fans of bts were gone crazy about them,idk but bts fans are obsessive,it seems that if you listen to their music you will hypnotized and become crazy,.im not saying that they have a perfect look that woman will gone crazy about them because for me their looks are not great as their fans think,they even wear thick make up,.

She's 38, definitely at an age to understand her choices (not to mention being a foreign national on a visa in SK) and she was already well-known to ARMYs and I believe even a few expressed concerns when she went over there. I don't remember many of the k-pop bloggers but as soon as i saw her picture, even I remembered her as writing something a year or 2 ago that got ARMY riled up. Like most of these types, I refuse to call them reporters... they are k-pop bloggers who get paid for writing for rage clicks.

I agree with @JerCarman. I was born in 1965. If you didn't like a group, you didn't listen to them. Also, in my opinion, you got more bang for your buck at concerts because there was a local start-up group, an opening band, and headliners. Now it's just the artist, which puts more pressure on them. Bottomline, artists were not as isolated as they are now.

That is not true. Other HYBE artists have been attacked, too. The fact is just that their impact is smaller which is why the attack is less visible. Even in this vid TXT gets mention in the "cult" accusation. That and fandoms want to believe the worst of BTS because they are more successful than their "fav" will ever be. They are jealous.

@@MidnightxCrow Unfortunately entirely normal for Idol music. That is why HYBE hired even more lawyers from outside to combat that BS. And I don't think it is great to compare hate. For example Sakura does not seem to be doing well and I have seen people suggest she should leave Le Sserafim because she can't "sing" and hate because she is Japanese. Haters pick any weapon they can to attack.

Everything happening now seems like a premeditated plan by MHJ and some people behind the scenes. Every scandal is so timely and planned so well that it is getting to the right people it was intended for ( fans that don't question but eat up everything) Hybe was really loose and trusted MHJ so much that they relaxed and allowed her to penetrate them so well I hope they beef up themselves after all these go down because a lot of people (fans, artists, and industry experts) are not happy with their success. I hope this is an eye-opener for them to protect their artists and themselves well

I usually try to be slow in forming judgements, but everything you've said has resonated with me. When I watched your first vid following the MHJ press conference my thought was even if she is right, she's still wrong because she seems to be using a scorched earth approach (ie destroy everything if I can't have it), rather than finding real solutions. Then I wondered if her real aim was to destroy BTS which I promptly dismissed (why would she go that far) but your vid has once again raised that question in my mind. If the comments attributed to her are true, she covets their place in the industry and she wants them gone, one way or the other. P.S. 'She wasn't familiar with Tae's voice' so she didn't jump at the chance to produce his album? Oh please 🙄

This is pure e¥il, imo: I don’t get the wanting to destroy a group. I was born in the 1950s and I don’t think groups cared what other groups did. They focused on themselves and we (the public) liked MANY different artist and had NO IDEA who their label was. I think the first time I ever paid attention to someone’s label had something to do with MJ and Sony. I couldn’t even tell you what it was. Did MJ sign with them? Leave them? I have no idea. 😂 How did this competition and hatred of groups that aren’t your faves start. It is so bizarre to me.

It's a kpop thing. Im not old enough to know many artists but one thing I know in the west it happens but not as much as kpop fandoms. I remember when i was new to k-pop, i watched a gg n finished their discography in two days bc there was not much to watch n i get bored. But honestly I didn't h@te them. They seem cool but very boring if you get to know them a bit more. I never h@ted any of them until i joined Twitter. It's not that I actually h@te them but the fanwars got to my nerves. I've seen trolls on internet, even bad people but never anyone as worse as kpop fans. All of them are very ill mannered. Very stupidddd and very uglyyy within. I truly pray those evil people to get a hard working job n leave others be!

It started in the 90s with the beginning of K-pop. In first gen it was mostly benevolent bit still a competition for awards. But fandoms went out for blood from each other even back than. By the time of the early 2000s "black marketing" was established. Which means that to evelate "your" artist it was also good to take down rivals by slendering them and finding ways to make them hated. Allegedly certain labels told fans to do that but also paid promotion "companies" to employ this tactic. Even in the USA artists are driven out of the market by big labels not signed with them. I have begun to wonder about "one Hit Wonders" a while ago. But in the USA the fans are not involved as far as I can see, I mean fans can hate an artist and fight their fans on social media but it is less organized, It can get complicated fast. What makes it so visible in Idol music is the fast paced market and the 3 (?) music shows where artists promoting compete for an award each week. In fact there are too many award shows in SK and now major organizations are interfering trying to take down some of the more unnecessary ones. In SK the artist is also quiet visibly bound to their label and the names around them get mentioned often.

It's a Korean thing I'll never understand. This being true to your groups label. But one thing they overlook is. If they want to break into the western market, this is completely the wrong way to go about it. The executives like Min Lee Hin and the fandoms spreading the hatred in her behalf aren't doing their groups any favors in the west. Why would we want to fan them when we see what they do to the #1 group that comes out of their country?

You won't find that in the West as the labels are hated here for how they rip off and badly treat artist. Am I coming across clearly now? it´s crazy all that is happening. i always thought of RM who often gets more hate just for sharing a song on his insta than jk did for smoking in public.. i mean how ironic is that?. that is why i think there is some people behind who is targeting RM and bang pd in paticular. Mainly because bang pc is a shareholder at Hybe he is the face of hybe. and them you have the leader of BTS. if RM find himself attacked for random things it makes the public think all of BTS is bad. in korea they tend to belive more in gossib than anything else especiallu in kpop. and RM even said in his last live stream that bad things keep happening to him and the other member don´t mention that. i think a lot happens behind the curtains and i think Hybe managed to controle the situation before like preventing media from making false statements and so. and right now it is not a good idea to take down BTS because then what is left? people wont travel to SK, BTS bring so much money to korea and i can only speak for myself but i would never buy another korean thing if they frame BTS for something. the only thing we army can do now is show the public that we support RM no matter what bad rumors is going on it wont affect army´s love for them. this is not about Hybe but BTS. lets say bts leave hybe than army will follow we love them not the label.

I think Koreans who involve themselves in activities to take down ANY other K-pop group or fandoms are dispicable. Here is a genre that was created in your country that all Koreans should be proud of no matter who they are, yet many of you dive into jumping in to ruin it. It's akin to all Jamacians boycotting Reggie. SAF! Koreans now have the number one group in the world, and what do they do? Coordinate all of their other fandoms to ruin them. Yeah! 1. Smoking is allowed no matter how some people get angry. 2. JK did get hate for it but it was this typical hate. 3. Namjoon's hate was more directed because religion was involved. 4. There is zero, and I mean zero proof that BTS is part of a cult. If you decide to watch videos to learn something, this is seriously the wrong video for you. I love learning but this is pollution of the mind; I really hope that you can continue to learn and grow as a person. @@lucilladeleon4544 really? you are not able to understand this simple video? for me as a german it was hard to understand where the cult accusations were coming from and Asian entertainment explained it to me. she told me that the founder of the cyber university and the founder of the cult are the same person which i didn´t know. for her explanation i said "thank you". asian entertainment never never never said this accusation are true! perhaps your translations are not working correctly? Eeven for me as a german and english not being my mother language this video was easy to understand. despite that , all the best for your future.

During the break wings project people also pretended to be ARMYs and behaved horribly online to discredit both BTS and ARMY. However that's actually still an ongoing problem - if you look at the accounts behaving badly while claiming they're ARMYs, you'll often find that they're actually part of other fandoms. And I'm not talking multi-stans, people are free to support whomever they want. I'm talking straight up fans of other groups trying to sabotage our reputation. So if you come across any "ARMYs" being hateful or disrespectful, try clicking on the account before engaging because engagement is exactly what they want. Silence them by ignoring them. Since when does it mean that one is in a cult if he or she attends a certain college or university? So if I go to Brigham Young University does that mean I’m automatically Mormon? If I go to Notre Dame I am automatically Catholic? So if I go to Global Security University I will automatically be a Dan/Dahn follower? Could it be that they chose this university because they wanted to? Could it be that this online college fit in with their hectic music tour schedules? Red herring, lies, rumours, it seems anything is used to distract from the legal seriousness of the Aldor case. Same intentions: destroy Hybe and use BTS to do it if they must. If they are that scared of BTS, their efforts would be better spend making art that rivals BTS in quality, creativity and originality. It shows they don't trust their ability to do or the abilities of the artists they support. How uneasy their artists must feel to be dragged in such mud. That is what it is, a rumor to distract people from looking closely/discussing Ador and MHJ's excuses on why she hasn't submitted her laptop for audit. That's the only way to get herself cleared of any wrong doing. But I guess that laptop has incriminating evidence against her, which is why she's keeping it. Really, young KPop stans' minds are easily manipulated these days. It's embarrassing how the education system failed them from thinking critically. The truth will eventually cone out.

I really think these tactics are not working as well internationally. MHJ is not getting the sympathy that she may be getting in South Korea. BTS fans internationally seem to be more diverse in age, gender, musical interests, etc. than the typical K-Pop fandom and during the hiatus it is growing as more people are discovering BTS through the solo work and going down the rabbit hole. I personally believe that people posed as supporters of the group just to maximize bad publicity at strategic moments. I hope I'm wrong, but the level of detail of the information and the negative impact they are causing without knowing if it is real is very suspicious.

I always said from the start of this mess it reminded me of the break wings nonsense. The signs are all there as to who might be behind this. I remember when the "apologies" started that ppl said there was pressure from the company to discredit and attack bts. Well another three letter 3rd gen boy group and there 4 letter fandom organized the whole mess. And guess which controversial denim loving ceo is the "ex" but at the time current branding executive for that group. I am new to BTS and ARMY even though I have always been aware of them. I’m a little overwhelmed by what I’m witnessing. I’m older and thought I’d had experienced everything I could within the culture of a fandom that there was to experience. I was wrong. I’m still learning all the terms like what an ANTI is. My mind is blown at the attacks that are being levied at BTS and Hybe. This is all really ugly. The whole cult accusations feels really crazy. For the most part I am only qualified to keep enjoying BTS. To keep supporting BTS. The rest of it sounds like it’s up to the lawyers. What a mess and a shame.

Okay ignore all of those speculations from the netz. Ilchi Lee is the president of BTS's University which teaches pseudoscience. Ilchi Lee's organization has 26 files lawsuits 14 years ago and even resigned but came back to rename Dahn Yoga to Body and Brain Tai Ichi. Their organization had a lot of SA and Manipulation allegations, as Bang Si Hyuk being the weirdo who dates women half his age, I'm not shock, I can even share you some stories about this cult on reddit even before MHJ vs HYBE was a thing. BTS might not be involved to this but take notes that there are trainees that might be damaged if ever they are affiliated with BTS's University.

Hahaha! Let me tell you, I’m a corporate slave and I still am working in different multinational corporations and companies like super diversified environment…. I was one of the individuals who criticised BTS at first and all the more K-pop without knowing these kids, the group, the team, the band, their affiliated companies. However that’s changed when I stalked them for my nephews and nieces who were into their dances when they’re so shy, aloof but my nieces and nephews showed me the dance and the song of BTS and they danced in front of everyone and told me about the group. I was surprised and amazed, so I did my research about the group BTS especially GoGo, it made me smile. So, I tried to find some videos to convince myself that they’re not a gooood model for my young family members and I don’t want them to follow them. Guess what?! After watching few videos on their early stages and that was 2017… I got hooked!!!! Lol I ended up becoming a FAN!!! It helped me personally with my depression, laughing on my way to work, back home, smiling and exciting with their funny videos, lovely music videos, and adorable personalities. Who would have thought? I’m now an official FAN and will always be. I love the boys, and that’s extended to HYBE, and began to learn about other groups and enjoying their group as well but still different with BTS. BTS taught me a lot of things and they inspires us in so many ways! I keep thanking the boys for being themselves in spirit and I owe them something, they saved me at some point to keep pushing myself. I understand it’s never easy for them to be known and to keep their fame, but they’re doing everything to entertain their fans and ARMY(armies). Thank you BTS and no, I’m not a CULT member! From the beginning BTS message was and is to LOVE YOURSELF, all they have ever been and what they have tried to spread was to be kind and considerate, giving to charities and to disasters, helping others and loving all. Even performing when hurt because they did not want to let us down, they do not have a selfish, greedy bone in their body. So, what if they say or do something we don't like once in a while they are human like us are we perfect NO!! then why should we expect them to be. But they come a lot closer to it than I do. We cannot fault then for being human and wanting to make a living at what they love and what God has brought them together to do so as to spread love and good will. We can never fault them for something that others do out of jealousy, hate or just trying to prop up their favorite k pop group, these people are a bit crazy. Well, we do know HYBE has good lawyers, and we pray they can not only catch these evil beings but that the law will be on the side of good, for if there ever was a group of boys who have become men that embody good it is our BTS men. After all, how many K pop groups brought in billions of dollars a year into Korea and helped the economy? None so far, so we all owe them. Even those of us who are too stupid to realize it, that we owe them a great deal besides the fact that they give us countless hours of love and joy through their many talents. This is the first time I hear about BTS' comeback being supposed to be "massive". I mean, a lot of things can happen in over a year and you can't predict what kind of songs and concepts will be in demand by then. And of course nobody knows how the members will feel and how they will view their role in all of this. We only know for sure that so far nobody has "replaced" BTS. If I didn't miss anyone the 3 boybands with the most monthly listeners on Spotify are currently One Direction (45m), BTS (27m) and the Backstreet Boys (23m). That's pretty much their mainstream status in the West.

For context, within both South Korea and the USA, there have historically been very dangerous religious groups that were eventually identified as cults. Some of them eventually ended their members through brainwashing, indoctrination, separation of families, extortion, confiscation of bank balances and other assets, instilling a fear of the outside world, worship of a leader, end of world scenarios, persecution complexes, etc. Unfortunately, some of them led to self-ending in groups, and outright intentional endings of the ones that refused. (Censor because YT is a POS platform). SK has become very sensitive to the awareness of and the power of certain cults domestically. A global audience might see a cult rumor as utter nonsense. But, in SK, it is outrageous and hateful defamation, essentially accusing BTS as leading all of the innocent children to slaughter. I'm not joking. The article carefully crafted innocuous looking paragraphs, knowing how most SK parents would react first and rarely think to question the nonsense. Instead of seeing BTS as a distraction from their child's study time, they'd see BTS as a mortal danger for their child. Hybe is absolutely correct to legally go scorched Earth against anyone that attempts to spread this dangerous rumor.
