If you have enough flatware and dishes to avoid having to wash them immediately after every meal, then using a dishwasher can actually be a more efficient way to clean your dishes compared to the amount of water, electricity for the water heater, and time it takes to wash them by hand. i don't mind any "weird" people who live alone but because she has a family especially 2 children she just insane, so irresponsible.

Im Nigerian and we have a proverb or saying if you will when you encounter useless people or children. They would say, "you're supposed to be sold and replaced with a lamp." because a lamp would at least be useful. I lost my shit when you said trade the kid with a lightbulb

She puts her family in the danger of food poisoning by the way she prepares her food: recycled sauce, expired meat, peeled bananas. Furthermore, she made food with huge amount of fat. The boyfriend is very lucky if he doesn't get heart attack when he is 50. The whole medical bills will probably cost more than the whole savings she made.

I'm confused too by this video, i get it why people want to save money but please save it with your logic.. the way this money saving work just gonna make you sick, then you go to a doctor for check up / buying some medicine on meds shop, that alone already cost more. Save your money but don't harm yourself when doing it. Its 80% scripted. Even if its real deal, just sell the goddamn car for some extra cash, go take a walk when buying stuff / get a bicycle..

I grew up poor, but my parents made sure we had everything we needed, plus extra goodies now and then. This isn't extreme at all. She needs counseling.

The other stuff at the store is flat out stealing, and I used to see my dad do it until I told what I learned in Sunday school...that he INSISTED I go to. She has control and fear issues and needs counseling. And her boyfriend needs to tell her so.

She definitely used more dollars worth of aluminum foil to protect the lasagna from the dishwasher than the number of dollars of electricity her oven would have used.

If you want an even more energy efficient option, get a used, but insulated toaster oven. Those things are practically indestructible and are more efficient than heating a full-sized oven when you only need half the volume. The cheapest toaster ovens, however, are no better than a conventional oven due to a lack of insulation, so they don't retain heat well.

in my country peel and so on are priced in. if you peel banana before weighting, you technically do not only betray the shop owner, but also the state due to less tax.

She's crazy bruh. You can see the craziness in her eyes when she speaks. She knows what she's doing and she's really proud of that. She needs some counseling.

Dishwashers do reuse water, at least within a cycle. (If you run it twice, of course that's two batches of water.) That's why they're actually more efficient than hand-washing dishes. I'm more concerned about the fact that she needed about $5 of aluminum foil to put that pan in the dishwasher to avoid spending less than 50¢ in gas to use the oven.
