Good new is we have the PC built and running! Just need to finish editing the video together and we should be able to show you guys the awesome build we put around it. I'm real excited!@
I'm glad to have bought this motherboard when I did, I can't wait to start building my first PC.
My ASrock Z97 Anniversary MOBO died on christmas eve after 8 years😢. Got this board for the first piece of my new build, hopefully it'll last me just as long.😊

We are putting a pretty cool build together with this board too! You will have to let me know how you like it, im sure the new hardware will feel lightyears faster haha
I went with the cheaper B760 version of this board. Am on a budget. First major upgrade in 10 years or more. Plus it has the wi-fi module pre-installed, will probably never use it though as I prefer ethernet connection. Does anyone actually use the SATA data cables that come in motherboard boxes? I have never used them. I always buy better looking rounded/braided cables. Pity the wi-fi module and antenna doesn't come pre-installed. It looks like you have to remove the VRM heatsinks to install it to the rear I/O plate. There is a m.2 key e slot for the wi-fi module(it is the slot next to the battery) that is sold separately. That is what the two holes on the rear IO are for. You would have thought ASrock would have it pre-installed, wouldn't have cost them that much to include it out of the box. Looks a pain though to fit it what with having to remove the heatsinks(I assume).

Yeah totally agree, it was pretty crazy to me that it wouldnt ship with wifi pre installed, even if you dont want it having the 2 open holes in the io looks pretty lame.

@@LegitCamelRetro I just wish PC parts weren't so expensive at the moment. Have already spent over £400 and it still isn't any way near to having a working PC. Still need memory, CPU, NVME drive, water cooler and fans to buy yet. If I go really budget I am still looking at the best part of £900 and that is without a GPU card. I will have to use my TV as a monitor until I can afford to buy a proper monitor and GPU, there is the best part of £700 to £900 again. And that doesn't even include the cost of buying Windows 11 USB. That is another £110. Ugh! So in total I will have spent £2000 roughly. Will probably take me about 6 months to get all the bits together to start the build. Hope my current 10 year old PC lasts that long.

@@daviniarobbins9298 Its i brutal market out there right now, I feel you on that 100%. I miss when you could get away with a cheaper PC build but still have it be more than capable, just isnt really the case anymore.

@@LegitCamelRetro My current PC I spent about £100 on for the motherboard and Celeron processor. The other parts were recycled from earlier builds. The memory is DDR3 it is that old.
For the extra price it's pretty good I feel like a lot of other mother boards you have to REALLY be a fan to justify the price of those
@LegitCamelRetro

Totally agree with you on that

@omnirayelectronics it's a shame really my house mate is a huge fan of evangelion but just couldn't justify the prices =/ especially with how God awful these companies communication is with UK customers

@@uchihasilver8362 very true, I always hear you guys get it pretty rough over there for pricing in general.

According to their QVL current list it is supported. But even if it wasn't it should still work.

Yeah I don't really have a professional set up at the moment, pretty small channel so that was just filmed in our office where we use white led lighting. Perhaps I could look into doing some color correction on the camera or in editing.
the board looks nice and all but it seems like a low end Z790 variant, its lacking a lot of I/O I personally would need so I'll have to pass on this one such a shame. Looks like I'm getting the Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Master instead
@MrUbister
Жыл бұрын
It is the same as the ASRock Z790 Riptide, which is ASRock's higher end Z790 mobo, more I/O options than the Z790 Lightning
@LegitCamelRetro
Жыл бұрын
Its not the lowest end z790 but its more of a midrange board, would be nice if asrock made a few different models of varying price and quality.
Clearly has no clue what he's talking about. FX was your first PC? The holes on the i/o plate are for wifi M.2 cards. A lot of mobos come with them now. Do your research and then post videos for views to make money. Everyone with a cellphone is making videos these days. Ugh.
