The other starter is the Motor Rifles box that has the infantry and BMPs you wanted, it synergizes well with this one to also add a bit more bulk to your armour and a second pair of Hinds for a decently sized 4 unit flight.

The Warsaw Pact is a new release I'm looking forward to! My Book along with some Mot. Schutzen and BMP's should be arriving shortly, and I'm happy I'll be able to build a sizeable army to contrast my West-Germans well! Also, while the T-72 kit's mostly the same which I don't mind, I do find the one-piece Fuel Barrels a welcome addition. Those were the weakest part of the kit for me, which I'm glad for given how I like the vehicle a good deal as well as me building a T-72M batallion, which means I need to build a lot of them (already have 10 of them from V1 boxes, but might buy the new box to add a unit of T-72B's which are now core units in the formation as a third Tank unit). Also, no worries about the Infantry banter! Infantry's great at holding objectives, given how you can dig them in while being very cheap for the amount of teams you get. Also, idk if you're gonna post it exclusively to the Cult of Games group, but I and probably a few others would love to see the progress on your T-55 + Infantry force and maybe see a game played with them at some point!

Agreed with the fuel drums and the ERA side skirts are a joy to place, they just click into place now.

The Fitters are the old Academy kit which is not very accurate or good. It's a weird hybrid, mostly based on the Su-22M3, so they wouldn't be good for Poland, Czechoslovakia or East Germany, who got the M4 version. The only users of the M3 are the USSR, Hungary and Bulgaria IIRC. That's being picky though, those models will be a lot of fun! If someone is annoyed, it shouldn't be difficult to build the additional air intake that's missing on the M3 and the M4 has. Cool set!

The cockpit windows are the worst part of the kit from experience, I got both versions, clear and the BF version, the rest of the plane was ok to build or I got lucky. The plastic BF Frogfoots are not very good either imo (specially for the price) really game pieces that do not fit well together.

Kinda. Except for the T55 and the Fitter everything has been or is being used in the war in one way or another. But slightly more modern variants

T-72 great, T-55 meh, Fitters great, Hind meh. If it was all T-72b then I would buy this, but don't need the Hinds or T-55's so it is a pass.

All the russian cards needs to be seriously nerfed to better represent reality XD

Irl Russian tanks are capable of quite a bit, it's their poor usage from inexperienced conscripted tankies that has led to their high loss rate.

@@NoNo-uy2bq not even that, the Russian tankers are just so terribly trained, but part of it is definitely the old Soviet tank design becoming obsolete.

New russian troops exactly when you need them to free Donbass from A3OB battalions.
