I have been using the 5pc TSPROF diamond plates for about three years. I have bought 4 sets of them (I sharpen a alot of knives) they last really good I have just started using my 3rd set and have wore out two sets. This stones out preform DMT Stones and preform similar to how Atoma plates preform.. the F1000 once it's broken in will take you close to the start of a mirror, strop on 3 micron, 1 micron, 0.5 and finish on 0.1 and you will have a full bright mirror. The 120 and 240 break in fairly quickly, the med, fine and X fine take a fair bit of knives to fully break in. This is the best 1x6 inch mono crystalline diamond plates you can buy.

If you can swing it buy the EdgePro resin bonded diamond Matrx stones. I have had mine for years and sharpened North of 400 knives ZERO wear. The last abrasives you will ever need. Well worth the cost. Thanks for the video. 😎👍

How did these do? I came across them on amazon then started doing research, as in watching youtube videos, to see if they are worth it or not, to be honest, I will most likely get them anyways, I'm more interested in how that 150 plate because I have multiple knives that need to be reprofile.

I just received my PD Tools Expert Diamond Stones from Ukraine. Now I just need to find a dull knife to use them on. 😂 the Atomahs are nice also.

I've got a jende 80 grit headed my way for reprofiling so I don't wear out my diamond matrix one. Let me know how these work. Another set is to look at the atoma set. I've been interested in those

I would really like to see some close up pictures or video of the scratch pattern off of each stone. You should add a link to your Instagram in the description.

Edge pro style, 6in mounted on the slanted aluminum blanks. Works for tsprof, edge pro, hapstone and other systems that take 6in stones. You can also use freehand :)

Hmm, think my comment got sucked into the spam filter, perhaps because of the links.

@@StropsandStones Really weird. Well, either way lets try it again lol, just without the links. They are the default stones included with Tsprof sharpeners for those that did not know. I have used mine to sharpen about 15 kitchen knives up to 8" in length and they have broken in and smoothed out quite a bit. I have heard they may not last as long as a higher quality diamond plate but they seem to work well. I noticed that when used dry the removed metal tended to bunch up then fall off and almost looked like shavings until touched. They made a big mess and are a pain to clean up so you might want to put a napkin under as you sharpen to catch it. Back end of an imgur tag for a picture I got of it /KInMvDp When using them I really liked the 600 grit for a finish on my kitchen knives once broken in. Gritomatic carries the Jende and Atoma diamond plates. I have heard that the Atoma plates are extremely aggressive because they have the diamonds set into a pattern instead of being random. They also have the big grit comparison chart that is fairly comprehensive which may come in handy in future videos if you were not aware of it. If you wanted to go nuclear then I have seen people cut files to fit their stone holder to remove a lot of metal.
